Awful management, 10/12/2008

We rented a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom condo in Atlantic Station. The condo is nicely furnished with all the amenities needed, and the neighborhood is great. However, this condo was ILLEGALLY rented to us,... and thus we were forced to be evicted halfway through our stay here. The owner of the condo had no idea that his middleman had leased this place to us, and so when he had visitors come in town, we were forced to leave. Not only that, we had to haggle to get our refund for the nights we were no longer allowed to stay here!! This place is SO poorly managed, I would steer clear. We were not given mailbox access (because we were not supposed to be in the condo), the wireless internet code, and it took us several days to get gate access for visitors to come see us. The manager of this place, Dargan Burns, was exceptionally rude and threatening on the phone when we inquired about the name/number of the owner of the condo. He tried to displace us to a subpar location near I-20 to finish our 1-month contract here, but refused to partially compensate us for the change in quality, poor location, and time it would take us to move. We asked for a fraction of our money back and he refused... instead, we "had to" accept the new place or get out. This experience has been extremely stressful and negative for us, and both of us had to take a day off work to deal with this and find a new place to live. The owner, Andre, has been helpful and I would recommend renting DIRECTLY from him.
