I'm a costco shareholder. I asked my wife to switch our family membership from Sams to Costco. When she went to visit a store and become a member, she learned that membership can only be established with a Check, Debit card or Cash. The other alternative was to sign up for an Amex card. I have a suggestion for Costco. Change your policy to accept all major credit cards. Most retailers do. I have heard many good things about costco. It was disappointing and inconvenient to learn of your odd practice of limited payment methods when we went to sign up as members. As a potential customer, I encourage you to expand your payment methods to make it easier to increase your customer base. You missed a potential $200.00 customer today because we did not have either of your "limited" payment methods available. We live 30 miles away so we did not return today. I doubt we are unique in this quagmire. Your current policy is hampering your potential share value as a publicly traded company. New as of 2012. Love buying fruit there. They have a great selection and good prices. That Kirkland skim milk is flavorful and fresh tasting. My earlier issues still exist but I'm working around them and enjoying the benefits.

Well tried the legendary return policy at costco. Had an item that was 9 months old, they would not take it back. They now are like Target, only will let you return items that are less than 90 days old. Costco is now 100% about the price. If they are not the best price in town, forget about it, their legendary warranty is no more. Shame, Sam's club and the internet is normally cheaper than Costco. I guess I'll keep them for their insurance products only.

Part 2 - I just returned to the store to get my camera replaced. Very happy with return process. No Questions asked except where the damage was. Return process works like this: They give you a credit on your credit card, and you go buy your replacement. Got Home; unpacked; everything fine.:-) Part 1-will give a better rating if they give me an exchange for a NEW camera that was not returned. I should have known the product would have been defective if they tryed to sell it to me already opened. I gave them the benefit of the doubt by thoroughly inspecting the merchandise. But since I found big cosmetic defects, I'm taking the camera back. With the cost of fuel these days, I am not happy about having to make an unnecessary trip.

I am sorry you had a problem with one of the products you purchased at our warehouse. The 90 day return policy applies only to certain electronic item - televisions, computers, cameras, camcorders, cell phones, and IPods. Everything else including your membership is unconditionally guaranteed. The 90 day return policy was implimented on certain electronics to address a growing number of returns by people that were taking advantage of the return policy and upgrading items like plasma TV's and computers after several years of use. This was creating a great deal of expense and would lead to higher prices for all members. To address the needs of members with problems that occur after 90 days. We implimented a concierge program where members can call an 800 number, talk to a real person, and get answers to their technical questions or direct them to the proper service. In addition we have extended the manufacturers warranty an additional year to 2 years from date of purchase..... If you have additional questions I can be reached at (678)-288-3012 - Samuel

This place blows away the other warehouse club that is in the same area. I used to be a member of the other one and changed to Costco after a friend of mine invited me in with them. If after you pay the dues you decide you don't like the place Costco refunds you all of your money, you can't beat it. Great selection, awesome return policy and good prices on gas too!

Amembership at Costco Wholesale is fantastic...there are all kind of values...from good to clothes. The deals on Men and Womens clothers are great and if you can use large quantities of food...you have a real value!

All products in Costco are top-notch. I bought a miniDV camera here and a 52" Vizio TV (not to mention loads of everyday products). Never have I been dissatisfied with any aspect of Costco. (If I was, Costco has a very liberal return policy, especially on electronics.) I really can't say enough good things about them. If you want good product at low cost, go to Costco.

Costco offers top of the line items every week. Along with great prices and the fact that Costco will take back anything you purchase with no questions asked as long as you have a receipt and receive FULL credit - whether you had if for 1 year or 5 years! Wow, you can't ask for anything better than that. I love Costco because of the many unique items they carry and overall great prices. And don't forget Costco gas is the cheapest in town. Everyone should shop Costco!!!
