Cowart Family/Ashford Dunwoody YMCA

I've been a member of the Y since I was a child. I love the YMCA, but this location and the Peachtree Corneres location are nothing more than cheap daycare subsidized by the rest of the members. Kids play on the cardo equipment, roll around on the track, and make sexual gestures at the elderly members. It's a lawsuit waiting to happen. The staff response is little more than "They pay their dues just like you.". The staff even cut my lock off my locker while I was working out because someone had claimed they had left something in there before me that night. The YMCA was once a great place, but now it is a miserable place to go. I am sad they don't want to address these issues. I want to continue to go there, but it is a waste of time and money on my part. I'll go to a gym that appreciates its members,

Overall good however I feel the childcare and afterschool care is really beginning to impact useage of the gym. It recently seems hard to use the pool or track without screaming kids everywhere.

Good Place to kids for swimming and Gymnastics during the summer. The service they provide is really good.

This gym has a variety of services for a little of everyone. Machines room is a bit crowded, but all the machines are up to date with TVs on cardio. Employees are friendly and the Zumba class is excellent!

incredibly friendly staff. some machines could be updated (the ergs), but overall a very good facility. lots of classes offered and teams and camps for the kids in the summer. it has provided me with some great memories.
