I actually have been quite pleased with Cox after so many true bad experiences with other companies (statewide). Their packages for service are very affordable and excellent. I do wish they would get with the times though. You should be able tot have a package with just tv and internet without a landline. At first I was paying for something I never used but as time went on it ended up being a blessing in disguise once I started working from home. Of course the $80 price tag has been a valuable savings over the years. Their based cable is decent as well, it has just as many channels as I would care to have enough to keep me planted on the couch for a few hours or to let the critters listen in on the Animal Planet while I'm out running errands. Having a fax machine has been really handy. Their customer service is absolutely terrible, but than again outsourcing is just a plan bad idea and they know nothing about internet connection so forget getting any help on that one (lucky I have a computer geek in the house. But once I finally got someone on the phone for other questions (i.e. billing, etc) they were nice and friendly each time. I like the fact that you can take care of everything online these days (personally I think this has helped make phone customer service better since now they have the time to be nice on the phone, lol). Needless to say in 5 years I have had only ONE bill issue and it was corrected immediately after only 30 minutes of being on the phone.

this place should be shut down! if you have a problem, prepare to be stuck with it! their workers who are on the phone do not help at all-and barely speak english! it took this company 3 in a half weeks to get internet back!
