Closed for good, 3/05/2010

This place closed its doors sometime last year. They are no longer open, but they'll be missed......

Just like mom used to make..., 11/04/2008

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta, for breakfast, lunch or dinner. If you miss momma's home cooking, this is a great place to go. The desserts are fantastic, too. It's a funky kind of... diner and it's fun. Check it out!

Changed Management, Now It's Terrible

We used to eat here a lot. Now we will not come back. They changed management and a few things we noticed: (1) Napkins were now paper towels (2) No Tazo hot teas anymore - just 2 kinds of Bigelow. (3) They don't have individual coffee creamers anymore (??!?!) - instead, they bring you this little 1 oz "cup" of creamer - God knows where it came from. (4) I never got my biscuit (my wife did though). (5) Had to wait over 10 minutes to be acknowledged by someone, and over 30 mins after ordering to get the food. We won't be coming back anytime soon.

Best mall option

Orginial in downtown Decatur is great, but this spot has more room and less waiting. Food is always good, service can be great to average. Breakfast is the best next to desserts.

YUCK-ICK-POOEY! ...They ruined it BIG TIME!

I HATE it when new owners think they know more than previous, successful owners. My husband and I have been going to Crescent Moon for years and now vow NEVER to return! The quaint, cute decor was quickly and tackily re-done soon after new owners purchased CM....if the hideous tile and tacky mirrored walls weren't enough, the horrible food including cold eggs and burned pancakes was. \r\rEvidently, it didn't take long to effect the staff either...today, the doors were locked and all their customers were at my new favorite breakfast place...Pastries A Go Go!

Good restaurant going down hill: Cold food, bad service

I was a regular customer at this location for Crescent Moon but I am going to boycott this place now. I used to love the good service and food. I have noticed the last couple of times I've gone, the food is awful. I ordered the vegetable plate and the macaroni and cheese looked shriveled and dried up. I tried sending it back but they gave me another one that was just as bad. I ordered a slice of cake...it was completely dry and stale. I went for breakfast recently around noon on the weekend. My breakfast was barely warm and the gravy looked watered down and there were only crumbs of sausage in it. I told my waitress and she looked at me like I was crazy. I'd love to see her eat cold eggs with a sausage gravy biscuit and pay for it. I ordered a different entree and it took forever. I flagged the waitress and she said he put my order in as a ""hot ticket"" so it would come out fast. I waited at least 15-20 minutes. The breakfast came out and was barely warm! I sent it back and decided not to order anything after all. This other waitress or floor manager comes out and asks what was wrong. I explained that it was taking forever for the second breakfast and it felt like my breakfast was left to sit. She said,"" well, can't you see we're busy."" I know there is a new owner and the staff says the cooks are still the same. BUT, if they don't know how to run a restaurant and manage your staff, it doesn't matter if the same staff is there or not. I wouldn't waste my time. I am sure it will be crowded only because there is no where to eat in the Northlake area and families may be more willing to put up with it. Behind the colorful lights at the bar is a plethora of below average food and bad customer service. Enjoy!

Subpar Food and Location

I was finally dragged to Northlake Mall to try Crescent Moon, only to be proven right. Every restaurant I have frequented in the vicinity of Northlake has been nothing short of awful. My omelet not only took forever to be prepared, but also, it was not even hot by the time it made it to my table. The cheese had no taste, and the vegetables seemed raw. It was the worst excuse I've ever seen for an omelet in my life. Don't go here.
