Our beloved dog died at Crestview. WE took her there for a routine dental & A biopsy on a place on her back. She had been put to sleep a couple of times by another vet with no problem. This was the first time Crestview had put her to sleep & something went terribly wrong. A call was made to check on her at 2:02 pm & we were told they were running late & nothing had been done to her not even bloodwork. We got a call at 2:37pm from the Vet telling us that when they put her to sleep she had died. Later we found out we had been lied to about the bloodwork as it had been done at 8:40am. We had 2 more problems with their staff at the front desk. An autopsy was done & came back as inconclusive, which means she died and no one can tell us why. She was a member of our family and this has been a terrible tragedy for us.

Thank you Dr. McGruder for saving Oliver's life! Our 6 month old Maltese battled parvo for 3 weeks (in the care of another vet). As soon as Dr McGruder saw Oliver he admitted him and took wonderful care of him. He called me personally every day, sometimes 2 or 3 times a day (for the 5 days he was there). Dr. McGruder has the best bed-side manner and is so caring & knowledgeable. And the bonus to all this is that Oliver's 4 1/2 day stay was $50 less than the 24 hour stay at out first vet. We will never go to any other Vet.

I had taken my animals here for years without issues. But my dog ate a bone by accident he vomited large amts of sharp bone fragments overnight. I took him at 7am I had to drop him off and go to work. I guess they forgot him I called 3 times during the day. Once they told me he wasnt even there. I just went by at 5 pm they hadnt even seen him yet. The office staff told me that they saw appts first. They could have cared less. Thank God he was ok...232.00 for that service.

My family has been going to Crestview for over 10 years. We started seeing Dr. Benson who is incredible, and now always see Dr. Magruder. He has cared for all of our pets and we trust him 100%. He is always honest with us and will fit us in for emergencies no matter how busy he is. He even came to our home when we were going to lose our 2 year old pup to cancer and helped us say goodbye to our baby in the comfort of our living room. You will not find a kinder, more experienced vet. Would never go anywhere else.

If you want you animal to live go somewhere else. Went to the emergency room on a weekend with a very sick dog. They said they did the a specific test for parasites but after the dog died our other dog got eh same problem. A new vet started the treatment and our other dog was better in days. The rushed to diagnose and never did the test they said they did. Avoid this vet

Another commenter mentioned Crestview being "gross." I'm wondering if we go to the same place! The office is definitely a "no frills" kind of place, but I've always observed it to be clean. The staff is friendly and helpful, and Dr. Benson is the best. He takes his time with me, answers any and all questions..I highly recommend the services of Crestview.

This place is gross. First of all they are mean to the animals. They are very unkind. They practice bad medicine. And are overall a BAD hospital. I would NEVER reccomend this place to ANYONE. I guess it all goes back to the saying you get what you pay for. If u want crap.. come here they are crap. Oh, and thats not even the half of it.. go check out their boarding kennel. They have a nice patch of concrete in the back for the dogs.. fun!

I'm really shocked at how bad my experience was with this Vet. The office staff was wonderful and friendly but the Vets I had the misfortune of seeing are horrible. I'm glad I have other options.

We've used Dr. McGruder for at least 7 years and while he doesn't have much of a sense of humor, he takes excellent care of our 2 dogs. He always insists on keeping them long enough to stabalize any situation, regardless of how much we want the pet back at home with us. Marlese, the groomer, really knows how to handle the dogs too.

Having grown up on a farm in Florida, taking animals to the vet was a monthly experience. After moving to Cumming everyone recomended Dr. Benson (also a family man and missionary). From checkups to stictches our animals have always been treated better than other place I have been. Never even thought of going anywhere else!
