Convenient and caring
I don't know about the pricesbut we have had great experiences here. Dr. Oteri clearly has a deep love for animals, and it shows. There has been a few times when our dog was really sick, and they allowed us to drop her off early in the morning before work, and they kept her and evaluated her until we could come back after work. We definitely trust them with our furry baby!...

We love Dr. Oteri and her staff!!
We've only been going to Crossroads since last summer, but we wouldn't go anywhere else. We love Dr. Oteri, and it's obvious that she and her staff are big animal lovers by the way they take care of our precious kitty, who isn't the easiest cat to handle. Dr. Oteri doesn't try to sell services or vaccines that our kitty doesn't need. The clinic is very clean and we feel very comfortable there. Everyone treats us with respect and shows great patience. We love it there, and agree with a previous writer who said that "you get what you pay for", and we feel that at Crossroads we get the very best for our precious baby.

outrageous prices
I agree after Dr. Light left. This place went downhill. Just to get my dog vaccinated cost in excess of 300 dollars. They kept trying to upsell common products that are sold in any store or supermarket for a Substantial marketup. I wouldn't recommend this place at all.

I would like to take this opportunity to respond to Linuxguru's post, because the assertions put forth are simply not true. I would like to provide Kudzu readers with accurate information about our clinic. A canine patient receives its annual wellness examination, all vaccinations, as well as the annual heartworm test and fecal exam for parasites for a cost of $155 (certainly not in excess of $300!). Now, that assumes that the dog receives all available vaccinations, which is not always the case. We are in the process of making adjustments in our vaccination protocols. In some of our adult patients, we are decreasing the frequency of cetain vaccinations to every 3 years rather than annually. Current research is showing a much longer duration of immunity than previously thought, and the American Veterinary Medical Association and American Animal Hospital Association guidelines are changing. We work with each owner individually to determine potential risk factors, medical history, and current health status, and we then attempt to tailor each pet's vaccine protocol to their specific needs. We do also offer additional services such as annual junior and senior wellness lab profiles, including blood counts & blood chemistry profiles, and I would like to point out that the cost of our senior wellness lab profile has actually been lowered since I took over ownership of the hospital. Wellness lab work can help us assess your pet's internal health status, in addition to doing a thorough external physical exam. I would also like to let our clients know that while we do sell prescription items such as heartworm prevention, medicated shampoos, and special medical diets, we do not sell any product that can be purchased in a supermarket or store. We do, of course, try our best to keep costs as reasonable as possible for all our clients. We would love for any clients, new or long term, to come by and visit the hospital, meet our staff, and see some of the changes we've made! Thank you!
