We have been living in a Crown Property for over 3 years now and have enjoyed the experience. We are moving and hope to find another Crown Property to rent again. The agents are helpful and... responsive. Our requests for home repairs are always dealt with in a timely manner-our AC went out last July and they had someone out to look at it within the hour. I would recommend using Crown to anyone.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »

Read the lease carefully before you consider signing. Here are some of the highlights: - Management doesn't have to give any notice before entering. - Any Realtor has unrestricted access to the property via a keybox during the last 60 days of the lease without any notice. And if anything is stolen during a showing, the tenant agrees to hold the management "harmless". - Storing a gallon of gasoline in an approved container puts the tenant in violation of the lease - Management can remove any vehicle parked on the grass, sell it, and keep the money from the sale - Management will not tell you if there is a home owner's association or not - If rent is not received by midnight on the 1st of the month, there is a 10% fee. Use of the US Mail is "at own risk". This is regardless of whether their office is open or not on the 1st of the month due to weekend / holidays. - There "may be" a check processing fee. Nothing in the lease about what this fee is, just that there may be one. The lease takes away many rights and protections for the renter.

I relocated with my company to the Atlanta area and needed to find a place to live fairly quickly. The staff at Crown were helpful in finding a location that was close to work that would meet my needs. I like the neighborhood and the part of town that I ended up living in.

My family and I just moved in to a property managed by Crown. They've been great every step of the way. The sign-up is all automated. The townhome was in superb condition at move-in. Communications with everyone at Crown have been friendly and positive. It's been a very good experience so far!

I've been using Crown Management to handle my rental property for about 7 years. The staff is very helpful and they take care of everything. Documents, payments, service calls can all be done electronically and this just adds to the ease and convenience of working with Crown. This has been a big plus since I moved to another state. With Crown I don't have to worry about a thing, it's all taken care of of.

We just moved from Maine and finding a place to live was becoming very stressful. We owned while in Maine and renting made us nervous. We looked at quite a few places with not much reassurance that it would get better. That changed when we looked at one of the Crown properties. The staff was very helpful during the application process and has been amazing to work with since then. Anytime an issue has come up the team at Crown has been quick to respond and very helpful. They are a pleasure to work with.

My wife and I rented our home through Crown Realty & Management over the past 7 years and had a good experience overall. We were very impressed with our Property Managers. They were very professional, courteous and attentive to our needs and questions. I would recommend Crown Realty & Management Corporation.

Listed home for rent with Crown and got nickeled and dimed for repairs EVERY month including $150 for an electrician to replace a smoke detector battery! After the tenant moved out they refunded the tenant's full deposit even though there are big mud stains on the carpet, but they won't refund my cash deposit. It has been two months and I have sent multiple requests, and all I get is that "accounting is working on it". Definitely do not recommend for owners.

I hope I'm catching you before you make the mistake of signing a lease with Crown. Ask for the lease prior to signing, and read it in its entirety. Fees & Fines! The fees and stipulation fines are ridiculously expensive and are put in place to drain your pocket book. Life happens! As a landlord, you need to understand that, and be willing to work with your tenants, instead of "sticking it to them." Especially, if you are dealing with a good tenant, who has paid their rent on time consistently. There is no such thing as "normal, wear and tear", when leasing from Crown. I will guarantee you that Crown will find a way to nickel and dime you. Document EVERYTHING, keep all written paperwork, and save all written correspondence including e-mails. This 30 years in business claim, doesn't mean a gosh darn thing, if you're not good at it. Sounds more like delusions of grandeur. I would strongly encourage you to do your research. Visit the other boards and read the reviews. Talk to people too. Atlanta may be a large city, but people talk. Especially when they have had a bad experience with a business. Also, go the the Better Business Bureau site, and file a complaint. I noticed that the BBB has removed their rating of Crown altogether.

I have used Crown for the last 6 years. Lisa is the property manager and is responsive. I find convenient that all documents are by email and rent deposited direct to bank account. Last tenant moving-out inspection missed some damage but retained deposit for other points balanced it - I guess no inspection is perfect and tenants will try to hide damage: a trash can was hiding damage to a brick wall at inspection time. I spent time at the house in between tenants and being DIY oriented, saved a lot of money by doing repairs myself or calling contractors for needed maintenance not spotted at any inspection: the house is 18y old and inspectors do not look at the building for maintenance it seems but just for how it looks - they will call for roof repair when the roof leaks! So important for the owner to inspect the building or get it inspected. My communication with the property manager has been good and I would recommend Crown. I have had great occupancy since they started managing it. Only 2 weeks in between last tenants - Good marketing and management!
