Disappointing...
I'm writing this from the hotel room. IF you stay here, be sure to CHECK your room thoroughly before accepting it. We arrived late last night. Went to bed. THEN discovered the toilet wouldn't flush. Called front desk, sent "engineering", they claimed it was fixed, tried it again, no flush. During the night the toilet paper holder snapped and the towel bar literally fell off the wall when my mom removed a towel to use. The glasses in the bathroom are dirty, the tub is filthy (hadn't been washed), and the bathroom sink drain is mostly clogged - very slow draining. The elevator for Building 5 is missing its light cover, the hallway carpeting stinks and is stained, the walls need to be painted/repaired. Contrary to their in-room brochure, there is NOT an ice machine on every floor. (There isn't one on ours.) Since we are in the area awaiting medical treatment nearby, it's too much of a hassel to move to another hotel, so we requested another room that is CLEAN and FUNCTIONAL. The deferred maintenance on hotels is really catching up with them. A B&B might be a better option in the future. We will not be staying at another Crowne Plaza after this experience.
