Bad Experience, 9/08/2009

Suffice it to say, the experience I had with Cunningham BMW was just plain horrible. We researched BMW X3's and called down to Cunningham. When we went down, my wife test drove several cars and... finally found one she liked. When the financing dept went to work, things started going badly. After about 2 hours of going back and forth, we were told that they would work on it and get us into that car. The following day they brought the car up. At first glance, it looked like the same car, but upon further examination it was nowhere close. Cunningham ended up having to put new back seats in due to stains, repaint the car due to numerous imperfections, etc. etc. The list is quite long. They actually had the car longer than we did for the first month. Mainly because their salesperson misrepresented what we were getting. Now 4 months later, we found out that their finance dept. put approx. 30 inquiries through on my wife's credit. It seems more than a little excessive and ruined her credit score. The only bright spot was Jeff Gerkin, the GM for the dealership. He ended up jumping through hoops to fix all the issues with the car itself. Now I'm waiting to see what happens with the finance dept issues. DO NOT USE THIS DEALERSHIP. That is my only recommendation.

Outstanding Experience from start to finish!, 3/09/2009

This is our first BMW purchase and the experience I had with Geno at Cunningham BMW was outstanding! From my search online, I found the right model and price with Geno. I used their online request... for a BMW, and I got a 1-day turn around from Geno and his co-worker. I was able to make an on-site appointment that week and by that Friday we drove home in our 2005 BMW! Geno and the staff were very nice and very pleasant to work with! Very relaxed and no pressure approach throughout the whole process from educating us on the makes and models, the certified pre-owned program as well. Geno showed us the numbers with no money down or with a down payment, we liked the monthly payment and went forward and signed for the BMW. What made the experience very satisfying, Geno, the staff and finance department were very nice, took their time to explain, were honest and gave us their attention and listened all of this near the end-of-the day on Friday! I highly recommend Cunningham BMW!

PURCHASED!

Their internet response and the attention given when we came as a "walk-in" was superb! They even took the time to ensure i knew all about my car before i left. Took too long to complete the whole deal - but i left a happy customer - probably for life!

Best BMW dealership in San Diego,

superior service. I got my BMW serviced at San Diego several times and then switched to Cunningham from the advice of a friend and ever since then its actually a pleasure to take my car in for service. I will defnitely purchase my next car from them just for the spectacular service that I know Ill get for the life of my car.

A short trip to avoid a long fall.

These guys ROCK! Succinctly put, they beat the "Big" dealer in town and gave me more at the same time. I have referred three people to them who bought cars all ready and they agree: the service and personal attention beats the fancy building and snobbery. Thanks Bill and Ron!

Not useable

Over the years I have used cunninghams parts department. It has normally ben medioker. Recently they have stopped answering the phone, and let it go to voicemail. That would be OK if they actually called back. As of today I have ben waiting 3 days. So I called San Diego BMW and they still answer the phone.

Family atmosphere is refreshing!

After going to one of those Corporate BMW stores and being treated like a number, it was refreshing to go to a family run store that made you feel like a family member whilst not seeming phony at all. Highly recommended! Kudzu Kudos!!!

Smiles and Smiles

Although this place is a little far away, I totally prefer coming here than BMW of San Diego. I love the fact that Cunningham will literally drive you back home when you get your car serviced. The drivers are friendly and are very helpful.
