Ron took $1900 and didn't complete the exterior painting job we hired him for. He kept coming up with excuses at to why he couldn't come out and then just stopped responding to all phone calls and texts. We hired him based on the recommendations of a builder friend and didn't look at his reviews. If we had, we would have never hired him. Don't trust this contractor. He brings in random guys to work on the job and then disappears once he's gotten enough money while half the job remains to be completed.

I did not use him for painting, but to reverse abysmal work that cost thousands of dollars done by his brother, who is his employee, but uses his job to initiate repeated contact of the neighbors informing them of problems with their homes to solicit business. Ron was involved, due to poor and dangerous work, high costs by his brother. Ron undertook tearing down the work and then charged more than our initial contract quoted. for the work. This work did not include much painting , thus subcontractors were used mostly. Charge increments for services for myriad reasons were common. One was investigated and proven to be false. BEWARE. His brother, Shean produced potentially very dangerous workman, overcharges and may even have created problems such as leaks that he identified continually as work progressed and then at the end didn't answer calls Thus Ron, his brother and employer was involved, and I was required to pay again to get the work done properly and safely. Subcontractors actually did most of the work well salvaging an unsafe dangerous situation, and cost me thousands of additional dollars. I can't speak of Ron Scott's painting, as it was a minor part of the work. Dangerous construction was the issue with his brother Shean, Ron's issue is frequent cost increments for reasons that may not be true and violated our initial contract. Both Ron and Shean are charming. BEWARE of their practices. Rating for sucontractors, 4-5 stars for Ron and Shean , one star.

Ron the Con Scott is a door-to-door solicitor for jobs. He is very folksy with an "aw shucks , thank you for the opportunity to serve you" until he ingratieates himself and pulls his "GRIFT" [ the super CON }. The guy brings a new definition to "CON-tractor". His sometimes excellent performance in the beginning is followed by outright lying , cheating, & stealing. Ron the Con painted my two houses in Atlanta for a total cost to me of $ 79,000. He stole $ 6,650. in undelivered shutters ( 18 total ). I had to pay $ 5,000. to get the shutters manufactured , painted, and installed by other contractors. If you CON-tract with this guy , you'll be in for aggravation and theft that you'll never forget.

My experience with Custom Painting by Ronald Scott has been very poor. The quality of the painting is average. Ran into problems with renovation and replacement items such as paving and stonework. Subs were unqualified. Stone work was done by a stucco guy. Walls and patios are not level, symmetrical or plumb. Driveway is lumpy and bumpy, not to code. Both patios and driveway actually pitch away from expensive drain system. Cracks are appearing in many paces in the driveway and cobblestone edging. Promises were made to redo work but Ron has disappeared. Kitchen cabinets were re-glazed twice, then sent to a cabinet spray shop where they have been sitting for 3 months. Cracks are already appearing in kitchen crown mold caulk. A $4800 driveway gate has languished in a warehouse since Thanksgiving. No action, lots of excuses. There was a great deal of scope creep on the projects and total cost was much greater than the first estimates. This company has difficulty completing projects, charging premium prices for less than mediocre work. Many tasks have required one or more do-overs which company says it will pay for and never does. Calls not returned.
