Yeah they're cheap but miss way too many weeks, in fact they have missed 3 times this quarter, and that's so far. Do yourself a favor and get someone else.
I just called to cancel my service with Cycleworks because we have been very unhappy with the Customer Service. We have had several missed pickups over the last few months. We have not received a bill TWICE. Worst of all, when I call to get answers I rarely actually get someone on the other line. I called every hour yesterday starting at 8:00-4:00 to see when my next bill was due and only received a recording that Cycleworks was CLOSED (on a Thursday!). I proceeded to call a few other companies in the Acworth area to see if they missed pickups due to the weather or holidays and was informed that they DID NOT. I understand the weather was cold and I would not want my employees out either. However, they should have worked longer hours the warmer days to get the missed pick-ups. 2 weeks of no trash pick-up is unacceptable! I was also able to get someone on the line immediately with the other companies I called. Therefore, I called Cycleworks to cancel (after being put on hold for 8 minutes). After cancelling and asking for a refund, I was hung up on! I wanted to bring this to your attention in hopes of it being resolved for future customers. I understand it is “just trash” as it was explained to me on the phone; however, I am paying for a service and expect to receive that service. We chose this company because our neighbors recommended it. There are only 2 other houses that use this company now and they are unhappy.
This company is a rip off. Our trash is supposed to be picked up on Thursdays. We have to call them almost every single week because they don't show up. Then they won't come out until Saturday. It is now Monday and our cans are still sitting at the curb because they still haven't emptied them. They have told me every day since Thursday that they will schedule a pickup for that day. When I tell them that they still haven't emptied my cans they tell me that they show that they were emptied. Perhaps I should show them a picture of the difference between empty and full cans. Shouldn't they know that already?
The owner's name begins with S and ends with o...and he is from New Jersey, in the garbage business, and the similarity doesen't end there. They will cheat you. Billing is shady and erratic. Steer Clear!!!!
This is the worst company EVER! Since December we have had to call pretty much every week to let them know that they have forgotten out trash yet again. We are always told they will flag our account to remind the "new" driver . Such a lame excuse and lie!! This company does not deserve to be in business!!! We have had it and are cutting ties. Hope we can save others the month and months of frustrations we have experienced from reading this.
A nice young man from a contracted company for CycleWorks to get new customers came knocking on our door. Lower price, and free bulk item pick up swayed our decision to switch to them. It's been exactly a month now, and after 4 phone calls,still no trash container, and just received a dirty, smelly recycle bin yesterday. Cancelled this 'new' provider today! If this is any indication of their service, I'd pass.
At first we were happy with our service but over the last year, it has gone steadily downhill. We purchased our own larger rolling can for recycling and the first pick-up it was destroyed. Now every week our cans end up in the street or across the road. They've also lost the lid to our container. When you call or email you either ignored or treated rudely. We also had a month period last year where our trash was not picked up, and then got a call because our cans weren't at the road (we didn't have any trash because we'd been on vacation) and were yelled at. I'm done!
I have had to call SIX WEEKS IN A ROW to get my trash and/or recycling picked up. Each week they say they will send some one out and "flag my account" so the drivers know to pick it up and EACH WEEK I have to call back. They are unappologetic and unhelpful and alwasy have some new lame excuse. Once I am paid for I will for sure be finding someone else. AWFUL!
I have been using Cycleworks Sanitation for over 2 years now and have had it with the missed pick ups!! They preach to make sure you put your trash out the night before scheduled pick ups, which we do without fail and yet they still can't do their part of the job, that they are paid to do, and actually pick it up! I have had to call them over and over and get the same reaction, we'll have someone out the next day, well why not try getting it the day you are supposed to!!!
I use my own yard waste cans instead of bags. After emptying them, they 'heave' them from the middle of the street back onto the yard. I have watched them so this several times, have called to report this several times to no avail - it continued to happen. The price kept changing & then fuel surcharges. Their response - "since you called..." Why should I have to call for them to find this mistake, etc.? Poor customer service. I cancelled my service effective 4/30/11 - they still have not picked up their garbage can!! I have emailed & called. I am sorry I recommended them to neighbors & friends. My new service is cheaper, GAVE me a big recycle can & is respectful of my property. That is called good customer service.
They are constantly forgetting to pick up our trash, they have not picked up several times causing my trash to build up! not to mention that i pay for this service and have never been refunded when the service was not provided! Today for the 3rd time i saw them grab the recycle bin which we take the time to separate and throw it right in with the other garbage!! Worst company i have EVER dealt with!!!
Cycle Works staff is amazing!! They are always one step ahead of the game. We recently had a terrible snow storm and Cycle Works was amazing at giving us updates as to when our pick up was going to occur!! I have a terrible tacky neighbor that always seems to put out an entire closet full of stuff and never has it been left behind. I'm sure my neighbor appreciates it but not as much as me!! I hate having to look at that mess. The office staff is always so friendly to speak with. They truley act as if you are the one and only customer!! Thanks For All You Do Cycle Works!!! Yall are the BEST!!
Cycle Works is a great company!! The customer service is excellent and the guys on the trucks are wonderful also. Anytime I need something all I have to do is call, not to mention I NEVER have trouble getting through on the phones. If my pickup gets missed they send someone out right away. They are prompt and I am glad I made the switch. They have a great recycling program, and they actually take it to a place to recycle it. And its free too. They are affordable and local and thats a company we should ALL support. So think about that when you are giving your money away to a corporate top dog or a company thats not even located in this state(ahem....american) The customers are the ones who really make a company shine. As long as I pay my bill and put my trash out on time.... I never have a problem. Friendly faces and top of the line customer service...who could complain about that?
