DOGGIE BED AND BREAKFAST

I was in the same boat as the other reviewer, ghdame. I continued using this company out of convenience. I realized after a few months of taking my pets there, that they were unattended most of the day. When I dropped them off to stay, she would leave to attend to other pet-sitting business. I was under the impression that she would be caring for them most of the day. But as I said, I continued going, even after several scheduling and attitude problems. The final straw was when I was told I had to pay for a holiday weekend even though I was canceling 48 hours in advance. This was not in the policy. She became very unprofessional and rude. I was going to meet her in the middle and pay half, but she was so upset, she told me we were done. That worked for me.

I have been using this service for a bit over a year now and from the beginning, struggled to justify why I kept using them - mostly I guess the service was already established and I didn't feel like looking elsewhere. From the beginning, it has been very difficult dealing with this pet sitter, who is consistently rude, adds on charges if you leave or change your plans close to the time you leave, and adheres militantly to a policy that is vague and ambiguous. Most upsetting is that she spends exactly 25 minutes with the animals without a second more. I can just see her with a stop watch or something, and leaving no matter what condition your pet is in. The impetus behind this writing, however, is her withholding money when I came home early. Although she did not lose out on business, she claimed the "policy" directs that she can keep my money. That, coupled with the fact that she "lost" my key when I live in a transitional neighborhood was enough to end our business relationship. My stepson needed to find a day care place for our dog while we visited, and he found this great home. Duke was well cared for and was happy to go back the second day and visit his new friends. We were happy to have a safe and caring home away from home for him. We would definitely return when we visit again, and highly recommend Amy. Mary (dukesmom and Tommysstepmom)

I had to find a daycare for my dad and step-mom's dog Duke, and find on on short notice. I liked the website, so I talked to Amy and got a very good feel about her. We used this daycare and it was an excellent experience!! Duke actually liked going there, and he was well treated. This is a very dog-friendly operation, not a mass operation where a dog is just a number. Highly recommended!

I've been using Doggie B&B services for over a year now and would recommend to anyone! I have an older dog who loves going to the B&B - she gets lots of personal attention and there has never been a problem with any other critter visitors! They help with dropping her off and picking her up from my home when needed to. You can feel good and not worry when you're out of town!!
