POOR SERVICE, 8/11/2011

Desert Sky came out on July 27th & sprayed my home for ants & other insects. I was impressed with the same day service and the low price, but have been left with a bad taste in my mouth now. On... August 2nd my fiance called because the ant problem both inside and outside is still here. We noticed it 3 days after service. Waited a couple of more days but the problem was still there so we called to have the problem fixed. They told my fiance that they would contact me to set up a time to come back out. Well it is now the 11th of August and they still have not returned the call. What kind of customer service is that? We were looking for a reliable and honest company to be our regular pest control serviceman but did not find that in Desert Sky Pest Control. Would & will not recommend to anyone!

No Call, No Show

First off, I rated "quality" and "value" 3 stars because the site requires a rating and since I didn't receive any service it seemed unfair to give it a positive or negative review. I was really pleased with the demeanor and service of the gentleman who scheduled my appointment for between 6 and 9 this morning. It's now 10:20 and the tech hasn't called or showed up. They have both my and my wife's cell phone numbers. I'm not going to bother trying to reschedule; I woke up early and waited for 4 hours and didn't get the courtesy of a phone call, it's not my responsibility to hunt down a tech. There are plenty of competitors who I'm sure will show up. And no, this is not a competitor posting fake reviews - seeing as how I'm not the only person this has happened to, perhaps the management should look into what's going on with the scheduling.

I was overcharged

I had a huge swarm of bees at a new home that just arrived I thought they would go away since they were scouting but I began to see them disappear into our attic. I had no internet or phone book so I called my sister who gave me Desert Sky's information which included $25.00 off. I called and wasn't given a price over the phone, I was just told to check on-line. They came out for 10 minutes to spray and gave me a bill for $170.00. I was mad at myself for not double checking the price before they started. However, when I looked on-line the next day, I found it was $140 to $195 for an ESTABLISHED hive and $95 to $140 for a swarm. I had no hive, I was even told the bees were caught early before they started to make a hive. They knowingly over charged me. I wrote them a comment and they gave no response.

Simply not what happened & the sister just doesn't listen or understand what she was told. When the bees stop swarming (Transitioning to a new home) & find an enclosed cavity to call home... You have a hive. treating swarming bees outside of a structure is much different than treating 5,000 + bees inside of your 2 story attic space or exterior wall. The prices were as advertised, The bees were eliminated & although it is in opposition to conventional wisdom to say it... This customer was absolutely wrong & spiteful

Disappointed on the bee hive removal service

I was very disppointed on the service I recieved from Desert Sky Pest Control. When I called the owner, there was no clear explanation of the breakdown of their services. The owner simply told me the special price to remove the hive for 125.00. The tech showed pretty quickly within the same day. The tech was not even curteous to say hi or anything. He just mentioned that I and the owner have agreed on the price. At this point I was under the impression that $125 was the cost of removing the hive from my house roof. The technician simplay went up and sprayed to kill the bees. It took him less than 20 minutes to do it and that was for 125. He simply killed the bees and left the mess behind. I call this a rip off and I am very upset about this service call.

Well some people just want something for nothing & cry when they cant manipulate others to get it. We agreed to kill the bees that were inside of the roof area for a discounted price of $125 because they explained how they were experiencing hard times financially, but just wanted to kill the bees & be safe. This represented a $70 discount over the regular & Advertised prices because I wanted to help ! Then they wanted to have the entire Honeycomb removed from inside the roof which entails removing tile, cutting the roof & extracting nearly 50 lbs of honey or more, clean up of the area, & repair of the plywood, as well as the replacement of the tiles... All for $125 ?????????. This is clearly manipulation of a wonderful company trying to help someone out & having the recipient of that good will try to steal as much as they could from us. When I wouldn't be manipulated or be part of this game they leave feedback like this. I will continue to help people when I can & hope that these folks have better Karma in the future. Maybe they didn't get hugged enough as children ? I can't tell, But I do know they got an awesome service at a huge discounted price & they only thing they should say is "Thank You".

I called at 5:30 AM & they answered the phone !!!

I was leaving for work back in July very early when I noticed a bunch of bees in my eave just over the garage door. I called at 5:30 after googling them on my phone & someone actually answered the phone. By 7AM they had a tech working on the problem & by the time my wife left for work at 7:30 they were done. I was just amazed not to have to wait for a call back and schedule someone for who knows when. If your up & in the office at 5:30 AM YOU CAN HAVE MY BUSINESS Any day

just a great service.

up in my eaves I had a beehive about the size of a football & they removed it in no time at all. It was quick & done for the price quoted on the phone. I was very surprised by just how professionally it was all handled. I recommend the for all their services.

Great emergency service!

Right as I was getting ready for church, my daughter told me about a big swarm of bees in the backyard. I called 2 other pest control places, but they wouldn't come out until Monday, and they quoted me at over $200!! When I called Paul, the owner, he said that since I was just up the street, so he would be there in 30 mins, and he quoted me at over $100 less than the other guys. When my daughter and I got back from church, the bees were gone, and there was a statement in the mailbox, just as promised. I called back to say big thank-you, he asked me a big favor to share my story on here, so here I am. I highly recommend Desert Sky Pest Control!

Have had great service....but not in the past week

I have used Desert Sky Pest Control atleast three times before. The service has been great up until last week. I had scheduled for Wednesday but had to call and find out it needed to be scheduled to Friday then I receive a call today advising they need to come two hours earlier. The spray guy was ver nice over the phone and apologized for the inconvienance and called to see if he could come out on Saturday. He was very polite and heard my side of the predicament I was in with my work schedule. I really love the service but in the last week have had some issues with scheduling. They were all resolved but still it was not a smooth transition for me this time.

Prompt and courteous

We are trying to get into a new house and they sent a tech out 3 days before Christmas to spray our house. He was very polite and knowledgable. We'll definitely use Desert Sky again.

Great Service!

We had a great experience with Desert Sky. The appointment scheduling was easy and during the timeframe we requested. The technician, Bob, was on time, courteous, knowledgeable, and friendly. We got some great tips. I would definitely recommend Desert Sky to anyone needing this service.

No Show...

We scheduled these guys to come and do our new house. My husband waited home all day and they were a NO SHOW! No call, no email, nothing. We had even made arrangements with the builder to get into the home before closing to get this done. Not impressed. Instead, we went with Phoenix Pest Control and have been very happy.

As they said in the old days...HOGWASH (Smile) Who Are you ? I Don't have any information on the schedule, or the Customer Database for the appointment you said we had. Kind of a frustrating situation as I always have Emegency technicians who can be anywhere in the Valley in less than an hour & would have been happy to provide one for free had we received a call saying someone was late... "I think it is a competitor trying to tarnish a very customer oriented service company." You said you waited all day ??? IN AN EMPTY HOUSE ? And you didn't pick up the phone once ? Sounds Very FISHY to me !

Great Service, Great Price!

I called these guys based the great reviews I saw here and they were on the money. The service and price are both good. I did have a little trouble with the scheduling initially, but that's because I've got dogs and have to open a gate.

Happy at first, dissapointed in the end.

I had a massive crickett, black widow & cockroach infestation. I called desert sky after reading all the postive reviews on kudzu to take care of the problem. I called on friday, and Paul sent someone out the next day on saturday. He worked with my schedule, which I thought was great. The person who came out, sprayed inside along the base boards, and outside along the edge of the house. That seemed to take care of the problem. The bugs came back about 2 weeks later. So, I had paul send someone out again. The guy sprayed and 2 weeks later the bugs came back again. I called Paul again, but I did not get to speak with him. I left a voice mail for him to call me back to send someone out again. I did not receive a response from Paul. However, this could be for a variety of reasons. I am assuming he did not receive my voice mail, so I will give him the bennefit of the doubt. I did decided not to do business with desert sky at this point. I did however, find a company to come out. Granted, they did not come out as quick as Desert Sky, and they did not work with my schedule all the well, but the did a much better job. When this company came out, they flushed out all the bugs from inside my walls inside and out. They sprayed on the my exterior block walls & under the overhang on my roof. They took care of what desert sky left. They said this was the worst infestation they had seen in years. This is after Desert Sky had come out to spray, twice.

Well Matthew did request and receive a 1x only service in Aug for a massive cricket/spider & Roach problem, But chose to have just a 1x service instead of a regular pest maintenance schedule that we suggested at least until the problem was under control fully. "Over" a month later he requested & received another 1x service to try & get things under control, but in these cases of infestations a 1x approach is usually never successful, as we have to keep in mind that pesticides only kill adult insects & that eggs & larvea are impervious to it...So what happens in 2,3,4 weeks when the regular chemical is starting to become more & more ineffective as time wears on...You got it, The eggs & larvea turn into adults & start the whole vicious circle all over again.I think they were very nice people & wanted to to the best job, for the least amount of money as we all do, but from time to time pest control requires more effort & where as a a single service will provide many homeowners just the right level of control they need, it will not cure an infestation for all the reasons above. My Suggestion is to "Listen to your Friends at Desert Sky regarding service & approach" We are here to serve you honestly, and fairly...Never a sales pitch to bump up the bill ! We will always try to do the best in each different situation that you may have. Not escaping responsibility here at all, I have learned also from this that I need to more effectively communicate to people what they truly need rather than trying to give them what they want, as that sometimes sets us all up to fail & that is never the goal. The goal is always to "get the job done right" & do it in a very customer oriented fashion & do it for the best possible price. Thank you Matt for your business & for your feedback. Can't complain...

Nowadays it's very difficult to find a RELIABLE company.. but thanks to Kudzu.. I found one.. and for a great price!! Even though I wasn't at home, my husband was and received Bob when he came to our house to get rid of the critters. I had seen a scorpion, some roaches and crickets (before we moved in, the house was vacant for almost 6 months).. but haven't seen ANY sense.. Bob even got rid of a Wasp's nest we weren't aware of.. Thanks guys for a great service.. you're definitely going in My Favorites!
