Hillarious and Fun, 7/15/2009

I've been to Dad's Garage for several different shows now and every time it was a blast. The actors are absolutely hilarious. This is a great place to go for a date or even just a night out with... friends.

Great Little Theatre, 10/29/2008

Tucked up in a little building. This is one of Atlanta's Great Little Secrets. Saw an Improv show and it was a blast. Check them out.

Great hilarity

I gotta say that this place kinda surprised me. I was invited by a friend to see a show here and really didn't expect much. But boy was I wrong! The show was awesome - I had a really good time. It's a casual place - not stuffy at all, and there's a cool rapport between audience & actors on stage; really neat.

Affordable and fun

Dad's Garage is fun across the board for a friend's night out, date night, etc. If you're looking for variety, you'll definitely get it. One caveat:Unless the event is specifically geared towards kids, I suggest you leave them at home.

killer show: Song of the living dead

'Song of the living dead' shows Dad's at their Best. George Vaughn is amazing (his gospel number was my fave). Ranks up there with 'Carrie, the Musical' as among the funniest shows I've seen at Dad's. The humor pushes buttons and -- well it's a horror show too -- so it's not for the squeamish or easily offended (I was thrilled to see one couple walk out in the night I was there). I love these guys! Don't miss this (the run was recently extended the run to July 19th)

Good fun for everyone.

Saw a great show at Dad's last year. Close to restaurants too... dinner and a show in the same block. Head to The Albert for drinks after.

This place is great. They put on hysterical shows and its right in the middle of the neighborhood, no worries about traffic or parking. If more theater was like this I would be a dramaturge.

Poker Night at the White House

My friends and I went to Dad's Garage for my b'day after hearing such great things about it. The show was Poker Night at the White House and we figured it would have to be funny since this is a comedy club. It was horrible. If there was an intermission we would have left. We did not understand the humor in it whatsoever. It made little sense and just wasn't funny. Do not waste your $20. Go have a drink instead.

FUNNIEST IN ATLANTA

Great theater company. The shows are always full of energy and excitement. The best in Atlanta. Top Shelf shows are great! It's no wonder the Creative Loafing has selected Dad's Garage as the best improv theater in Atlanta. Check them out!

A healthy addiction.

Hmm, Where do I begin? I first attended a show at Dad's in mid-2005. I've been there every week ever since. In addition to the quality shows and pure genius improv, the casual, comfortable atmosphere makes you feel right at home from the moment you step through the door. The people there are amazing -- both on and off-stage. The humor is creative and intelligent, with just the right amount of quirk. It's always a great time. There's nowhere else quite like it. Just be warned that you'll feel a strange gravitation to return as soon as possible.

Fantastic

This place is great fun for everyone. On Saturday mornings, they do a improv play for kids that is fantastic. For adults, it's a perfect night out for a date or friends. The small theather makes it feel like you're a part of the act (and sometimes you can be). It's a refreshing place to see non-traditional plays. If you haven't been, it's a must. A true gem of Atlanta.

Great Improv Comedy

Now in their 11th season, Dad's Garage continues to provide the audience with exciting improv. They are a non profit agency, so you know they are not in it for the money. They are dedicated to providing the funniest material you could never imagine. Oh yeah, and they serve cold beer, too.
