Daffy Ducts

I called Daffy Ducts to clean my dryer vent. I had to leave a voicemail requesting service. My call was returned very promptly and service was scheduled for the next day, which was great. I was told it would be $100 to clean the dryer vent, however if the vent was on my roof it would be $150. I told them that was fine, as I wasn't sure where my dryer vent was.

Daffy Ducts came out today and looked at my dryer, the dryer hose that runs between the dryer and wall, and what I thought was the outside vent. As it turns out, my dryer vent is on the roof. Rather than charging me $150 to clean the vent, I was told they can't get on my roof because it's too high. Not only that, they removed the dryer hose from behind the dryer, and I discovered after they left that they never put it back. It's laying on top of my dryer, and I can't do any laundry until my husband has time to put it back. That is completely unacceptable in my opinion, and I will find someone else to take care of this service next time.

I went with Daffy Ducts to have my AC unit cleaned because they were offering $100 off, making it the cheapest price I could find. I should have known right then

I explained on the phone that I needed the evaporator coil cleaned, as well as the condenser coil and the ducts. I was assured that this could be done - they could even come out the following morning (on a Saturday!). I took the offer.

When the techs showed up, they were not in any uniform, and looked rather rough. I greeted them in the yard and they proceeded to tell me they were having a rough morning because they had a bachelor party the night before. While explaining to them what all we needed done, one of the techs excused himself to take a personal phone call. The other tech continued to describe their previous night, from where they went to dinner to how they "ended up at the club at 2am and didn't get home until 4am". After his phone call, the first tech then explained that they could not clean the evaporator coil, it would require a different certification than what they had and would cost us another $200 - 300 more. They decided to take a look at everything else and went to the crawlspace.

When they came back, they offered to do what they could, but we declined.

When they were leaving, I asked if there was a fee for them coming out, they said, "No, but if you want to buy us lunch, you can".

Very unprofessional from beginning to end....

Matt and Shaun did an excellent job of explaining what they were going to do, and answering all my questions before, during and after they completed the work of cleaning my ductwork - with two systems on three levels of my home. I recently met the owner, Justin Tarr, and he is also very professional and sincerely interested in doing an excellent job for each and every customer. Matt and Shaun did a thorough job of cleaning my systems and cleaning up after themselves. I highly recommend Daffy Ducts.

I was a first-time client and had a very good experience with this company. I needed my dryer vent cleaned and shopped around a bit. They did it for $99, whereas other companies were quoting around $250. Their response was extremely fast, same-day service (the day before Thanksgiving, no less) and Matt even called to let me know exactly when he was on the way over. They were conscientious and made sure their clean-up was to my satisfaction.

One note to consumers, I'm a first-time homeowner and didn't realize how relatively easy this job was (my fault, not theirs). Next year, I'll buy a $40 kit and do it myself. I certainly can't blame Daffy Ducts though. They provide a service and have the best price in town. Also, this service is much less if combined with other services. Therefore, I rated them five stars on "value" too, because they deserve to be compared to other companies, not DIYers.

When it comes time to have my air ducts cleaned, I will definitely be using this company again.

Daffy Ducts is a member of our business organization. When he told me what he did, I had him come out to my house to clean the ducts. I was impressed at how thorough he was. I personally had no idea this needed to be done and it was refreshing to have it be done so completely and thoroughly. The price was good too. We are all breathing better now.
