Children on the loose with parents who don't seem to care about their behavior, booths needs a thorough cleaning, the food just doesn't make the grade. I went there the first week it opened and was disappointed then and now several years later, I'm still disappointed.

This is by far my go-to place when in or around Grant Park. Everything is ggod here and the burgers are some of the best in town! Bring your dog....he will thank you.

Food is good. Service is not always quick even when the place is pretty empty. Brunch and their burgers are the better items on the menu. Some of the other items on the menu are unreliable (good sometimes...bad others).

Great place to go for a laid back, low cost dinner, lunch or brunch (the jalapeno grits are fantastic). We live close and eat there weekly - The black bean cuban, fish tacos, chicken tacos, and vegetarian chile are our favorites. Also, if you have kids, Dakota Blue is completely kid friendly.

The good: The food here is actually pretty good and they have more on their menu than burritos. I've had crab cakes, pasta and burgers here. Surprising cuisine for a hole in the wall. The bad: This place is really dirty (hence only two stars). I have ate here about four times and I just cannot stomach going back. One time I was served beer in a pint glass that clearly and visibly had orange juice pulp all over it. Did the server not notice? Another time the person I was with found left over food all over her silverware. I mean, hello? One time we sat at the bar, (this was the last time I went) and the cooler was just gross. Everything behind the bar area was filthy. I just cannot fathom to think what goes on in the kitchen. I don't know how they pass inspection. Too bad because it's non-smoking and affordable. But beware that they cater to families, which means there are a lot of kids. I even noticed a "kids corner" so if you don't want to risk the screaming baby scenario dine there late.

I ate here with a few friends and the waiter messed up all of our orders, ending up having to give me my burrito free because it took forever to get and then when i got it it was made inncorectly. The food tasted average, it if wasn't for the chips on the table i would have starved to death before my food ( which was wrong) got to the table. even the veggie options did not taste very good. try somewhere else for food this place was very disapointing.

Dakota Blue is one of our absolute favorite restaurants. You can get consistently great food, with Tony's specials sometimes knocking your socks not only off, but all the way across the room! They make good, hearty drinks that aren't over-priced. The atmosphere is casual & relaxed - just what you need after a long day (or week) at the office. On weekends you can get their amazing brunch - crab cakes benedict being my personal fave. We've taken many friends & family members to Dakota and they always enjoy it as much as we do.
