I am so thrilled that I found Dale Sikes Day School for my two children. First impression...you walk in and think that your Grandmother is in the kitchen cooking your very favorite meal. And it smells that good EVERY day! The facility is great with large, CLEAN, inviting, organized, classrooms for each age and stage, along with appropriate outdoor play areas separated for the age groups. The owners, director, teachers, and staff are all so welcoming and encouraging for our family. Many of the staff have been there over 20 years! They give me great peace of mind that my children are being well cared for and loved while I'm at work. As to the ridiculous review saying they don't like people of color, you should be sued for libel! It is a very diverse school with diverse staff and kids. I think the reviewer is the one with the problem, not the Sikes!

My daughter Tracie started going to Dale Sikes when she turned 2 she's about to turn 5 in a few months...I was kinda suprised at one reviewers comment saying that they don't care for blacks and that she didn't see anybody working there that was black or any students...well there's a great eye-glass place on Pleasant Hill Rd. called "For Eyes" cause you must have gone somewhere else: lets see I can think of at least 4 teachers right of hand that are African-American plus the two lovely ladies in the kitchen...anyway this is a very diverse place my daughter is bi-racial (African-American and Caucasian) and trust me I would not have considered sending her there if I felt that she would have been treated differently based on her ethnicity...enough of that!!!! The food is homecooked and amazing...it smelled wonderful every day...The teachers are the best you will find anywhere the care is extraordinary and the compassion of these ladies is unparalleled...when they tell you they treat your kid like it was theirs they mean it!!! Mrs. Sikes is one of the loveliest people I have ever met in life and Mr. Sikes has an amazing sense of humor...and their daughter Micki is great and has just the right personality for the place Ms. Johnnie has become family to us and is loved dearly by everyone as she is also my babysitter oh and don't forget Mrs. Glenda the glue that holds it all together...THANK YOU GUYS YOU ARE THE BEST!!!!

I called the school to get some information for my son. I was interested to hear about their program and curriculum. She just provided me with the fees and was not able to go in detail regarding their program. I asked her if she was the director, and she told me that she has been one of their teachers for 20 years, but has been working in office for few months. It makes me think what kind of program they are running that their staff after 20 years experience cannot explain. I did not get an answer when I asked her about the teacher/student ratio in the 3 years old classroom. She just said that it varies. Don't they have set rules and standards?? Don't they follow decal guide lines??

I did a drop by for a quick visit and interview with the Dale Sikes Day School. The first impression I got was Home!! That's the only way I can explain it. I was in a unpleasant situation with my current childcare. I was worried and knew I needed to get my daughter out of the corporate daycare setting I had her in. Dale Sikes Day School welcomed my daughter and I with open arms. I had to give a 2 week notice to that other place and Dale Sikes was very accommodating to that. Then when we were terminated a week early from that corporate daycare.......I called at 5:59 on Friday upset and Dale Sikes told me " bring her on in Monday morning!" The teachers and staff are attentive to my daughter & I. Everyone always has a smile on their face, it's always so clean and smells so great!! My daughter's transition period is and was little to none. They answer my questions, they take the time to discuss my daughter's progress! And most of all they care about the children! My daughter is eating her lunch, taking her naps and coming home happy, singing and telling her father and I about her day! I'm so happy and thankful I found Dale Sikes Day School!!!!

I had to take my toddler out because they could not get her to adjust and while other children were taking nap, my toddler was sitting alone in their eating area!!! unconcern for your kids. Put them on your own risk
