We hired Daniels Floors this past November. They are a really nice family owned business. They were one of the few companies that would actually allow us to purchase the floors that we wanted from... Costco and then they would install them for us & warranty their installation. The price that they offered us was very competitive. They let us pick out our own underlayment, so that we could get the best that we could afford. They gave us their recommendation and we took it. We were also able to purchase the trim that we liked as well, so everything was very customized to suit our desires. They quickly moved all of the furniture out of the house, put down the floors, & then put all of the furniture back in place, all within one day. The installation team arrived on time and was very polite & professional. After the floors were installed, we had two boards coming up. When I called the company, one of the owners, Laura got back with me right away. As promised, she quickly came out & repaired the minor issues. We are very happy that we hired a company that actually honors its warranty. We would highly recommend Daniels Floors to anyone looking for an honest company that does good work.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
My foundation moves a little. I had a board break loose and they fixed it for free...no questions. Great service!

Laura & her team did a great job installing new hardwood and staining to match my existing wood. Highly recommend
I enjoyed this project so much! This old house was soooo dated when our client purchased it. This client pulled out walls, cabinets and appliances and turned a drab, mid century ranch house into a sleek, modern, upscale home with an open floor plan. The living room had hardwoods, but the kitchen did not. We installed wood flooring in the kitchen. We installed flush mount floor registers in the middle of the floor, where the wall was removed. We sanded everything and finished the floor with a natural finish and water based polyurethane. Thanks so much for selecting us for this project and for publishing a great review!
We thought we had a flooring problem, but Daniels Floors put our mind at ease. They came over and quickly identified our floor as not only laminate but also a "floating floor", which explained the problems we thought we were having. Turns out we had nothing to worry about. Will use Daniels floors when we decide to re-do our flooring. Great Company!
This young couple called for an estimate on a flooring repair in their new home. They said their floor was separating in some areas. When I arrived I determined that the floor was actually a laminate, a very nice laminate with individual wide planks. Some of the planks had separated. I showed these guys how to scoot the planks back into place themselves and buy a $3 jar of putty to fill the cracks. Their flooring looks good and should last several years. Thanks for the posting! We will be here whenever you are ready.
My floor raised up months after installation. The company came back out and sanded and refinished and stain the floor again. We originally had water base stain and the changed the stain for us at no additional cost. The floor is now fixed. Thank you.
We installed hardwood flooring where there was carpet in the middle of an open floor plan. The client called and said the sides of the new wood were raised and the old wood, which had been sanded before, remained flat. It was a mystery why these edges would raise when there was no exposure to moisture. The only possible source of moisture I could see was from cooking. Their mom lives there and cooks real meals where food simmers. My theory is, the wood swelled when the humidity in the room was raised by food simmering on the stove. We refinished the area where the edges of the planks were raised. Now, all of the wood is smooth. We appreciate being given the opportunity to sand the floor again. Thanks for posting the positive review! It was a pleasure working with this family.
My dog was paralyzed causing him to lose control of his bladder, and apparently his urine soaked through his bedding causing severe wood rot to a very large area of my dining room floor. Daniel's Floors came out and replaced the damaged boards and refinished the floors to look brand new. The boards matched perfectly and one wouldn't even know the horrible mess that was there prior to Daniel's experts. They also corrected the transition between the wood hallway floor and tiled laundry room the builder botched. The best part was the little amount of dust from the dustless containment system and we could walk on the floors the same day. I found Daniels Floors after extensive research searching for a flooring company specializing in water based finishes. I have a Chow Chow and a dachshund that are very hard on wood floors so I wanted a commercial water based finish. I had the floors repaired over a year ago and they still look fantastic. I am very pleased, and I recommend both Laura and her crew at Daniels both personally and professionally. We own a restoration and repair business, and I often recommend Daniels when my movers damage floors. Great company, great service!
Daniels Flooring worked on our home and they did such a great job that we hired them to do our rental also. While other flooring companies said our floors had to be completely replaced, Daniels came in and did a great job refinishing saving us thousands on our floors.
Thanks for the positive review. We do not SELL flooring like those guys who show up with the samples. We are flooring contractors. So, we save floors, rather than replace them. On average, we save one floor each week that other companies try to replace. When a client wants new flooring, I shop around and find the best value on flooring. Or, we install unfinished wood and sand and stain it on site. I am glad we were able to restore your floor!
We had our floors refinished by a "one stop shop" company and they ruined these great old floors. Daniels came in and repaired the damage and they look great
Wow...Daniels flooring did a fantastic job on my 70yr old wood floors. I renovated a 1930's Bungalow home and hired a 'cheap' floor crew to come out and refinish the floors. I thought I was saving tons of money but I was left with sloppy sanded, unevenly stained floors. After looking at these floors for a week I had enough. I called Daniels floors late Saturday evening and they came out and got started that Monday morning. It only took them 2 1/2 days to complete the job and the floors look beautiful. Looking back, I only wish I called Daniels first!
This company did a great job at a great price. They were dependable, quick, provided a high quality product and did not leave a mess. They put hard wood floors in for us (741 square feet) and we were very happy with the end result.
I am proud of the work done by my hubby and the guys. They are decent, hardworking men who take pride in their work. It is good to know that their craftsmanship is appreciated! Thanks for taking a moment to post a review.
I shopped four well known companies, and went with Daniels for the sand/refinish job on the hardwoods in my Smyrna home. I have not regretted it one iota. This is a small family owned/operated business, but they use the EXACT same equipment, products, and techniques as the larger establishments, and their crew has been at this for over a decade-they're craftsmen. Communication was swift and transparent. Turnaround was very fast. They promised me two days, and they kept that promise, even though they ended up working well past dark. People cannot believe it's the same floor. They assume it's new. Their price was quite fair, (the joys of lower overhead) and I'm told by my friend in property management that the money I spent for this work has likely already come back to me four-fold in the value of my home. Don't waste your money on companies with shiny vans, cute name tags and an 800 number. Laura and Daniel know what they're doing, and they actually want your business. Thanks, guys!
Thanks for writing a really nice review! It really brightened up my day. It's true, we have invested a small fortune in the Bona Dust Control System. It is the best (and most expensive) dustless system in the industry. The huge vac with HEPA filtration pulls the dust in from the sander before it escapes into the air. Most of the old floors that we sand have finishes that are carcinogenic. I don't want my husband or his crew exposed to toxins. This is why we do whatever we can to contain the sanding dust. Our floors have a smoother, clearer finish than floors where no dust containment is used. There are no airborne particles falling into the polyurethane as it dries. The clarity of our finish rivals a factory finish. Your friend is correct about new floors adding to the value of your home. A lot of realtors send their sellers to us to restore the floors in homes that are not selling. Prospective home buyers favor homes with good floors. We do appreciate being part of your renovations. Your home is really cool.
We had Daniels floors come and redo the finish on the floors in a house my Son bought in the Virginia Highlands. They gave us a very good price, and did the job at short notice. The floors had some damage that needed to be filled. We were called during the process to let us know that the stairs would be a different color if not sanded and finished and we asked them to complete that as well. The workmen did a great job, were professional and we would recommend them to anyone looking for quality workmanship.
We had Daniels Floors resurface and stain our hardwoods. The guys did a great job in putting plastic sheets up to close off rooms prior to sanding wherever possible. Even with the great care they took, and using the virtual dustless system, there was still some dust left in areas. NOT a complaint but just to let folks know that even with the best efforts some dust will naturally occur. With respect to the job, the two man crew arrived early, worked non-stop from around 8AM - past 1PM before taking a short lunch break then went back to work until around 5PM and did the same the next day! Bottom line is that the floors look great. I highly recommend Daniels floors for anyone who is interested in a quality job.
At Daniels Floors, we all take pride in our work. If we we ran a gas station, we would be the kind where the guys come running out as soon as you pull up, top off fluids and wash your windshield while THEY pump your gas. Our retro logo and mascot are intended to convey our old fashioned work ethic. As for the dust, yes there is a little bit of dust. The Bona Dust Containment System is the very best system, but it only captures 97% of the airborne particles created by sanding. Still, compared to sanding a floor without a dust containment system or with an inferior dust containment system, the results are remarkable. I appreciate your positive review and will pass your compliments along to the guys. Thanks again for selecting Daniels Floors!
My wife was so pleased with the fininsh product she felt the need to tip (and she can be quite particular) My only complaint is Daniel's Floors requires half of the payment prior to the completion of the job. Most consumer advocates do not approve of this policy. However, they did a great job and had the lowest cost estimate.
We are glad that you and your wife are pleased with your new floors. Thanks for posting a review. As for the payment policy, more than half of the work is done on the first day, when the first half is required. We never require any deposits before we start working. And, senior citizens are not required to pay until after all work has been completed. The balance is not due until all work is completed to your satisfaction. And, if you notice something that you feel requires attention, we will return and correct the issue right away, even though you have already accepted the work and made the payment. I do understand your concerns and appreciate your feedback. Thanks again for selecting Daniels Floors!
I wanted to get my walk in closet upgraded and I thought I would start with the floors. I had some Brazilian Redwood left over from our main floor install. I called up Daniels gave them the dimensions and they quoted me a price. They showed up on time and got to work they had the flooring appx 72sq/ft installed and no time and looking great. Thanks!
Thank you for selecting Daniels Floors for your closet installation. We appreciate the small jobs as much as the large jobs. Your willingness to schedule when we were working in your area saved you a lot of money. I am glad you are pleased with your installation. Thanks a lot for posting a review!
