This bar is fine, but it seems whenever we go a drink will be spilled on you, and its a little to loud. A ton of single men, can be a little much on friday and saturday nights.
The Dark Horse is a great place to start out the night on a Firday or Saturday. the music is not too loud and the drinks are on par with others in the area. Good bar.

The Dark Horse is a great place to start out the night on a Firday or Saturday. Affordable drinks, not too loud music, and good mix of people are the usual fare. Food is decent, even better after a night out on the town.

My boyfriend and I go here every Saturday afternoon after a long week to spend time together and talk about our week. The guy that works there is terrific, he remembers what you order and even special orders my grilled cheeses. I love it there, it's quiet during the day, and packed at night, check it out during the day, you'll be surprised!

not too sleazy, not too snobby. Nestled right in the heart of Virginia-Highlands. These guys also have a killer music room donwstairs. Its called The 10 High. They do mostly rock type stuff. some acoustic. actually they do all sorts of music. anyway, the bar staff is knowledgable. there aren't a lot of neon signs and NASCAR posters(not that theres anything wrong with NASCAR). Its a nice place to go on a first date. something like that

this place is always crowded with people i would never hang out with, drinks are very expensive and the bartenders all have a chip on their shoulder and also you do not get what you pay for when you order a mixed drink. there is a concert venue downstairs though sometimes cool
