Dr. Cornell is easily the best urologist in Atlanta… and I have seen quite a few! He takes the time to get to know you as a person and as a patient. While other urologists had basically given up on... treating me for recurring kidney stones and cystitis, Dr. Cornell has gone above and beyond to help me over the years (over a decade)… never giving up! He is knowledgeable, professional, caring and willing to continue to try new ideas to help chronic conditions. His calm demeanor has kept me calm in the midst many painful and scary times. I cannot thank him enough for the outstanding medical care he has given me! Unlike most physicians, Dr. Cornell is always accessible- either in the office, on the phone or through email. That is almost unheard of in this day and time! His staff can only be described as top notch! They are always friendly, caring and professional. Time after time Dr. Cornell and his staff have come through for me!VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
I just left my appointment and was very unimpressed and left in more pain then coming in. The super obese medical assistant was on the phone talking about all these pain meds he is taking and talking... about rubbing something on his butt. NO PROFESSIONALISM AT ALL. I was very uncomfortable throughout my whole appointment and couldn't wait to get out of there.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »

Dr. Cornell's urology practice is by far the best I have ever been to. The staff is first rate and Dr Cornell takes all the time needed to explain your diagnosis and answer all of your questions. Visits to his practice are not stressful because he is the only doctor and the waiting room is not filled with dozens of patients. I have never waited longer than 10 minutes to see him.
My overall visits with Dr. Cornell are great. He is extremely caring physician. His office is very clean and his office has been very accommodating for me when needed. My only complaint is the office manager Brenda. I mostly just try to avoid this lady on my visits. She has a stuck up attitude and have witnessed her rude behavior towards some patients on several of my office visits. But other than my experience with her I would recommend this office for the excellent physician Dr. Cornell is.
Stay away from this doctor. He is rude, unkind, his office staff were cold, the surroundings are bland, but most importantly, this was the worst experience I have ever had at ANY doctor's office. He essentially kicked me out and said that he could not help me, because he did not know my medical history and HE DOESN'T WORK ON PROSTATE ISSUES. He was extremely cold, arrogant and highly unprofessional. I will tell my own primary care internist and everyone that I meet about this encounter with this supposedly "wonderful" urologist.
My assessment of David Cornell, M.D. is one of a competent, thorough and caring urologist who has a compassionate bedside manner. He truly listens to what the patient says. I am profoundly grateful for the relief Dr. Cornell has given me. My confidence in his medical skills is demonstrated by recommending him to my friends. Importantly, his office staff is friendly and very sincere in helping you feel at ease. Bailey 11/2012
I am a patient of Dr. Cornell's and I agree with all of the positive feedback he, and his staff, receive. He is extremely professional and caring. His office is very clean and he has been very accomodating on a moments notice. He has even taken time to email me late at night on a weekend when I was experiencing difficulties. Doctors don't come any better than this. I would reccomend him to anyone in need of a top notch urologist. Kevin E.
I needed to consult with a Urologist and looked at reviews from this site as well as others. After reading the reviews, looking at the backgrounds and experience of the various doctors, I decided to visit Dr David Cornell. He had great reviews, an excellent education and significant experience. After my first consultation, it was obvious that he is extremely bright and knowledgeable. He is excellent at diagnosing and discussing all the possibilities and solutions. Also, his way of dealing with patients is great. He listens well, answers any questions, and communicates the complexities of medicine in a way that you can understand. If you need to consult with a Urologist, Dr David Cornell is one of the best.
After learning of Dr. Cornell's reputation, I traveled from Michigan to meet with him. He addressed my issue, and the results have been outstanding. I feel compelled to say Dr. Cornell maintains and respects the human element of medicine: his patients are not simply cases on a chart, they matter. It is difficult to express adequately the gratitude I have for Dr. Cornell and his staff. If any hesitation exists, I urge you wholeheartedly to put your trust in Dr. Cornell.
Dr. Cornell was a miracle worker for me. Initially he succesfully (!) address an infertility issue for me - so successful that I ultimately had him perform a vasectomy as well. He is knowledgable, experienced, thoughtful, caring, and spends a lot of time with you. His staff has the same attitude and is also first rate (also unusual!). No other Dr. helped me to enhance so much of my life - than he has. I will always have a debt of gratitude for Dr. Cornell. I only wish I could find a general practioner and other specialists who are half as good. I don't usually write glowing reviews for anyone/thing - but it is absolutely called for here.
When you're a guy under 30, nothing gets your attention like a painful testicle. This happened to me and I wanted something done quick, fast and in a hurry. I found Dr. Cornell's practice here on Kudzu and read all the great reviews so I gave his office a call. His staff was very sympathetic and squeezed me in the same day. I had never seen a urologist and needless to say I was more than a little nervous. I was sure it was cancer, but Dr. Cornell was very reassuring. He did an exam and an ultrasound and showed me all the results. Fortunately it was only a mild infection. His treatment had me feeling back to normal in a few days. He and his staff were very personable and helpful and I would recommend Dr. Cornell to anyone needing a urologist.
If you're searching for a great urologist and surgeon, look no further. I'd been looking for close to 6 years, and I finally decided to go see Dr. Cornell for a procedure. During my surgery Dr. C put me right at ease with a simple conversation. He will entertain any question you have pre or post surgery. He really does care about his patients, as does his incredible staff. You won't be disappointed.
I knew about Dr. Cornell's reputation and visited him because I had been dealing with a painful testicle most of my life. It had been operated on when I was a small child and had always been painful and smaller than normal. He suggested some medical therapy at first which failed to provide any improvement but did make me feel that he was attempting conservative measures before agreeing to surgery. We decided on removing the testicle and replacing it with an artificial one. I was pretty nervous, but I had a lot of confidence in his ability. The operation was quick, virtually painless and has left me with a result that is superb. The artificial testicle is almost identical to the remaining normal one and the incision is pretty much invisible since it was hidden in the center of my scrotum. I am really pleased that I decided on the operation.
I cannot begin to write how much the medical insights and skills, Dr. David Cornell, has meant to me; in fact, my life. After being diagnosed with prostate cancer, he not only sent me to the best clinic in the Atlanta for treatment, but he insisted upon additional tests as well. Thank God he did! The tests reveal that I had cancer in another part of my body if not treated would have taken my life, although in my home state I had not even been tested for possible additional cancer sites. Major surgery was necessary; and, my complete recovery from both cancers is due to the superb professional medical knowledge, expertise, and skill of Dr. David Cornell. He is simply the BEST. I trusted him with my life; and, my faith and trust were well placed--and, I am able to write this review because I was privileged to be a patient of Dr. David. What's more, Dr. David is a warm, caring, compassionate, man--a true Southern gentleman. He reflects the highest of credit upon his profession. As I mentioned above, if one is a patient of Dr. David Cornell, consider yourself in the hands of the VERY BEST!! Thank you again, Dr. David, for helping me through some of the darkest months of my life. Most Sincerely, Vern.
I had been having bladder pain for several weeks and my GP recommended that I see Cornell. I was first turned-off by his nurse's insistance that I have a bladder scan and urine flow measure. When the doctor came in, he asked aa few questions and said that I had prostatitis. He never examined me. He then spent the rest of his time with me discussing politics which was totally inappropriate. The next weekend I had to go to the emergency room since I was in awful pain. The doctor there discovered that I had a kidney stone embedded in the wall of my bladder. When I told the doctor about the bladder scan and urine flow test, she said that she knew Cornell and he was padding the bill to make as much as possible off his patients. He apparently does this with all his patients every time they see him.
