We received such loving care from the staff at Deceased Pet Care! It was a very difficult time and they treated us like part of their family. They walked us through each step and were very sensitive to our needs. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who has lost a pet.

Worst customer service ever. Could not tell me where my pet was. They advertise full time funeral directors but all you get is an answering service. Once I did receive a call the funeral director had no compassion and was very arguementive. From my experience I find it really hard to believe my pet would be treated with respect.

It has been 2 weeks since we put down our 15 year old family dog. The professionalism and peace that we received from the Chamblee location of DPC surpassed ALL of our expectations. My special requests were professionally met and our expenses were ALL reasonable. We have had time to grieve and are even more thankful for the peace and understanding exemplified by the employees of Chamblee DPC. I am very pleased with their professionalism & caring attitudes.

My sweet 20 yr old doggy Boo had to be put down today. I was very sad and could not handle the arrangements. So my husband called to take care of everything. We had her appointment scheduled for 5:30 they told my husband they did not pick up after 4:00. And she would have to be picked the next day. I was not leaving my baby there overnight because they couldn't find it in their hearts to pick up a 20 yr old dog that I've had since she was 6 weeks old a little past their normal time. So what was a hard day was made worse because we had to move up her appointment by two hours. Then I didn't want to leave my baby until they showed up to get her. And the driver called and said he was going to be an hour late. So they cost me two more hours with my baby and was late getting there. The vets office was busy and they needed the room so I ended up having to leave her anyway. I am so crushed!!

we have had them take care of three of our dogs, the first two, at their chamblee location and there were wonderful, we took our third one to the douglasville location, a very, very big mistake - the caring and personal service wasn't there and we were not informed of everything we needed to know - when i called to find out why we didn't get what we expected, we were told that isn't included with this purchase and i can't find your old records, our beloved golden died yesterday and a neighbor recommened Dream Land Pet in Kennesaw, and it was a wonderful experience, under the circumstances, they stayed late for us to get her there and didn't rush us at all - if the need ever arises again, Dream Lane is our choice.

I am so sorry to hear that your third experience was not the same as your first two wonderful experiences with our services. After more than 40 years of serving pet owners, our reputation was built on providing superior services. It saddens my heart that this was not what you experienced at our Douglasville office. I would welcome the opportunity to speak with you directly. As the daughter of Doyle Shugart, Founder of Deceased Pet Care, our family is committed to taking care of your family in your time of need.
I've used DPC seven times since 1993. The latest two kitties were cremated in April 2011 and July 2012. There were apparently some substantial pricing changes in the past year which I was not aware of when I called to make arrangements for my beloved Joey. When I received the receipt with his cremains I was shocked by the extra charges and called the office. The first person I spoke to was not helpful, but then I asked to speak to one of the owners. Donna Shugart-Bethune made everything right! It seems they have a lot of new employees and some inadvertent errors were made by their staff. Donna was very understanding and told me that when I need to use their services again, to ask for her personally. Thank you Donna!

We lost of beautiful 3 year old English Mastiff this past week-end and the handled/handling our needs. They have been kind, gentle, professional, respectful and simply amazing. Somehow, they have helped take away some of the sting from losing our baby so unexpectedly. They have handled 2 of our other dogs in the past but they were old and it wasn't as traumatic. This time, we really needed very special handling and they have delivered what are vet couldn't do for us.

I lost my 16-year old Sheltie three weeks ago and was totally devastated. I knew her time was coming, but when it finally did, I was beyond sadness. This company put dignity in my precious pet's passing. Honestly, they actually gave me peace because they understand the bond between humans and their pets. I highly recommend their service.

Thank you for speaking with me today personally regarding your concern in the delay of receiving your personalized engraved urn. I am sure the urn will be beautiful with the special personalized engraving you have chosen rewarding the additional time it requires. I appreciate you allowing us to respond immediately to you and want to extend again our sincere sympathy on the loss of your special companion on behalf of the Shugart Family.
I have nothing but wonderful words to say about Deceased Pet Care. They were wonderful to me when my beloved Tinker passed. Their compassion and caring showed in how much time they gave to making sure everything was the way I wanted it to be for my precious kitty. Thank you so much for making a sad time much better for me.
We have used Deceased Pet Care's cremation service several times through the years for all our family pets. They have a very thoughtful and caring staff that really understands what you are going through in your time of sorrow. We totally recommend them.
I am so glad that someone suggested Deceased Pet Care when my best friend, Hoppi passed away. You can really tell that they are truly animal lovers by their kind words and all the help they gave me to make this terrible experience a little lighter for me and my husband. Thank you again and although I hope I won't need your services for a long time, I will certainly not forget to call you again if I need to in the future.
After trying to consult with them for pre-need for my beloved pet I was left feeling like I was being sold a used car. Their attitude with me was deplorable and even worse their prices reflect that monster they are building in the parking lot. These poeple do NOT care about you or your pet, all they want is your MONEY!! In the end when my kitty passed at home I gave her a beatiful service at home in her own back yard. That is what she would have wanted. After the service I paid my mortgage!!!!

For more than 40 years the Shugart Family has provided pet owners compassionate and loving care while serving their needs. Doyle and Maudann Shugart recognized many years ago, the need to respectfully take care of our pets who have spent their lives with us and are members of the family. As a Funeral Director for more than 55 years, Doyle's desire has always been to offer services that were directly related to the same level of services provided for humans. Forty years later, we are proud to have the finest Pet Funeral Home in the United States offering every service and amenity afforded humans. Pet owners and their families now have at their discretion individual counseling rooms, two beautiful chapels for funeral services and viewings, the largest memorial showroom in the southeast, along with on-site crematories to provide immediate same day services. We are excited to bring this level of superior services to pet owners everywhere. As Doyle and Maudann Shugart's children, we would like to extend our love and appreciation to our Mom and Dad for persevering and never giving up on the dream - ..you are truly an inspiration to loving pet owners everywhere.
DPC off Peachtree has cremated enough of my pets to create a nuclear winter when we are all combined and scattered at MY passing. I have a rescue and they have lovingly, individually and compassionately cremated everything from my tiny 9 lb cat Cooter (Kitty Coo) to my beloved giant Mastiff (Booda - for whom they had to send an "hearst" because he was close to 100 lbs). The staff has cried with me, WITH me, counseled me, consoled me, they have even collected money among themselves when I was SO BROKE from putting money into rescued dogs that I did not think I could scrape together enough to cremate my OWN beloved forever dog - they made up the balance. Loving, kind, warm, compassionate and when you get your cremains back, you KNOW IT IS YOUR BELOVED PET - they cremate one at a time in an atmosphere of silent prayerful respect. There are not enough good words. At a time so painful that we cannot breathe and don't think we can put one foot in front of the other walking in a daze of pain, drowning in our darkest sorrow - they will lift you up - talk to you, hug you, let you know that your love was what your pet lived for and the pain is normal and worth it to have had those years of love. I love them. I have the honor and joy of having some 8 cremain boxes here - and reflect over them often - looking at their photos - I talk to them, and I know in the stillness of the night they walk the halls they loved so much because I brought them HOME.

Some people may find it strange to have a pet cremated. But when our recently adopted cat (who had been passed around most of her life) died, we didn't want to abandon her again. Through the services of Deceased Pet Care, we were able to bring her home to the last home she'll ever know.
