It has been 2 weeks since we put down our 15 year old family dog. The professionalism and peace that we received from the Chamblee location of DPC surpassed ALL of our expectations. My special... requests were professionally met and our expenses were ALL reasonable. We have had time to grieve and are even more thankful for the peace and understanding exemplified by the employees of Chamblee DPC. I am very pleased with their professionalism & caring attitudes.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
My sweet 20 yr old doggy Boo had to be put down today. I was very sad and could not handle the arrangements. So my husband called to take care of everything. We had her appointment scheduled for 5:30... they told my husband they did not pick up after 4:00. And she would have to be picked the next day. I was not leaving my baby there overnight because they couldn't find it in their hearts to pick up a 20 yr old dog that I've had since she was 6 weeks old a little past their normal time. So what was a hard day was made worse because we had to move up her appointment by two hours. Then I didn't want to leave my baby until they showed up to get her. And the driver called and said he was going to be an hour late. So they cost me two more hours with my baby and was late getting there. The vets office was busy and they needed the room so I ended up having to leave her anyway. I am so crushed!!VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »

We were, of course, devestated to have to use this service. But their follow thru was wonderful. Despite assuring me it was all taken care of, our vet's office staff did not complete all necessary info. They promptly called to confirm our wishes. I was very pleased with their professionalism & caring attitudes while we untangled the mess made thru carelessness on neither of our parts. I was very satisfied, and will recommend them to other pet owners without hesitation.
They took care of old nelly when his time came. I have him in an urn now on the fireplace. Sure miss him.
I would not hesitate to recommend them.
I had the unfortunate experience of losing my @ 16 year old furbaby,Ginger, in Nov of 2005 and most recently, the loss of my furbaby Chloe on Christmas Eve "09 They were both rescues and were with us about 6 years and 4yrs respectively. I had looked around a bit, knowing she was getting older, yet tearfully not wanting to think of losing her. I found Deceased Pet Care. When the time came, they responded in the most understanding, kind & professional way possible.Through dealing with him, I knew Ginger & Chloe were in good hands and they took care of both of them and us as if it were thier own loss. Thank you so much for everything. I recommend them HIGHLY.
my family and i have used deceased pet care for the past 20 years and will contiue to do so. the shugarts' are professional, caring, and provide compassionate care when you need it most. whether you need immedate service (including after hours) or prearrangement, they are the best.
I guess most people like to be comforted and such in times of grief. Personally, I want as little as communication with people as possible. They immediately saw that I wasn't much of a talker and spoke softly when it was necessary to communicate. When I looked at the urns, they left me alone and no one tried to sell me anything that I didn't ask about. They are extremely professional and excellent at what they do. I used them for cremation of my best friend's dog (he was too distraught to even deal with it) and when the time comes for my pet, I will use them for that as well.
These people treat you right an understand your sorrow.
Very courteous and understanding. They take care of you and your pet.
The Shugarts are the best in the business. They took care of our pet (child) 2 years ago, and when we visit him, the atmosphere is so beautiful and peaceful. The service during that time and aftewards has been exemplary.
Excellent in what they do. I recommend them but alway hate to use them because of the business.
THey are very caring and compassionate! They truly treated me and my departed cat better than the funeral homes did with my parents passing. Highly recommended.
I have used their services twice now. Both times I ended up sobbing over the loss of a cat, and they were understanding and professional. They helped me pick out an urn and had it personalized. I have every intention of turning to them each time one of my cats dies.
DPC has great employees that are so polite and respesctful when they deal with clients who have deceased animals. They provide a wide variety of services - individual cremation, personalized pet urns, and even burial in two pet cemeteries around Atlanta.
Just to demonstrate how far these folks will go to help you out: After our pet died, we immediately buried her in our back yard, in a very wooded area. After thinking about it all night, I decided I would rather have her cremated. I called DPC the next morning and they immediately sent someone out to dig her back up and take her back to their office for cremation. My husband was not home to do this, and I was too grief stricken to dig her up myself. They went above and beyond the call of duty on this one -- and I will never forget them for it! Great, caring people, and I will definitely use them again.
Very kind and respectful during a difficult time. They really understand one's love and attachment to our pets.
