Herman called to inform me when he was on his way to fix my refrigerator. He was very nice and polite and the service was great. I realize that repairmen can't give you an exact time of arrival because they do not know what the problem is for the customer and how long it will take to correct. They cannot tell a customer when they are working on their appliance that " I have to leave your appliance not totally repaired because I am late for another customer." Herman took time to ensure the he gave us quality service. Do we complain when we have to wait for the telephone repairman, cable, electric, gas or water. They all give you a time frame because they have no idea what problem they might encounter at each customer. I received quality service at a decent price and will recommend Herman to friends and relatives.

First visit: Arrived late. Did not call or apologize. Did not have part to fix dryer. Second visit: Supposed to arrive between 9 and 11. Arrived at 1:00. Did not call or apologize. Fixed dryer and was reasonably priced but not worth the wasted time and poor customer service.

UPDATED: 7-23-2012 We replied to the first review she wrote but after that her review and the titles has been changed 13 times. Reply: As allways we tell every customer that we will call when we are on the way and thats what we did. This customers appointment was from 9 till 1pm and we called when we were on the way, what she didnt say is that she was not even in the state of Georgia at the time this repair was made our repairman meet a house keeper there, but note the people that are writing these are copy cats from other untrue reviews and this lady never mentions that our service was the only one that would servive her unit oh other than the one the house keeper said would come and take the dryer in to his shop. As for the Ms Judy who was the person that made the appointment we never saw her. Please note that we have been giving service thirty plus years and read the reviews on back these only started about three months ago from a person that didnt want to tell the truth about the good we do as all of these have done so they choose to be negative. We here at Delta are postive thinking people and will allways give you great service and if you notice these negative people the one thing they left out is that we repaired their appliances and charged them low prices. We called Ms Judy so that we could refund her money if she was not happy and she want even return the call. We do thank you for your business.
Before you hire Herman to come out, you should read the reviews. Sadly, we didn't do this, and our experience has been the same as everyone else. In short, Herman has scheduled and not shown up more times than we can count. To his credit, he was quick to come out the first time and diagnose the problem (for which he got a service fee), but he hasn't returned to fix the issue. We are no better off than before and are actually deeper in the hole by paying the service fee. Don't be fooled by the response posts by this service provider.

Sadly this story was not told like it was that we diagnose the problem and had to order parts and he was told that we would give him a call when the parts were in and set up an appointment and the first appointment no one answered the phone and he called back after 7pm and we were closed for the day on another time we were asked if we could come at 7am. All we ask is be reasonable and tell it like it is and we will give you great service. We do thank you for your business.
refrigerator/ freezer died sometime during the night. Tried to buy a new for same day. Could not find one to fit my space, decided to find a repairman instead. Call plenty of companies--found delta appliance at 4 pm. Was told they would come out. Arrived as promised and performed a miracle. Frig working just in time for 4th of July celebration. Great job and great service.

Herman from Delta Appliances repaired the shattered glass of my oven door. Upfront, what you need to know: Pros: Friendly on the phone and in person, reasonable prices Cons: Piss-poor time management, incomplete and inconsistent follow-up My initial contact, after seeing all the stars on Kudzu.com, was via email. Herman called me back and provided a reasonable quote that same morning. I paid for the cost of the glass upfront so it could be ordered. I had a week-long business trip and told him when I'd next be available, which was approximately 10 business days later. Upon my return, I called and learned a piece had still not arrived. At the end of the second week, he let me know the glass arrived and scheduled the repair. He told me he'd call me by "mid-morning" to provide an arrival window, but I called him at noon, and at 4pm for ETA status. At 5:30pm, he called me to get my address! He arrived at 6:02pm. He was gone by 7pm. Before and after pics attached. His prices may be low, and I'm sure he'll blame the delay on the supplier or somewhere else, but the time it cost me (3 weeks and a full day) somewhat negated the savings and value.

As allways we thank you for your business and what some of these satements were about we dont know. We did everry thing we said we would do. We ordered the part the same day that it was paid for and yes we did have to wait for it to come in as we told her that it would be 7 to to 10 business days. when the part arrived we called and set the appointment as it was explained to her that we would call when we were on the way and we did and was there in thirty minutes time, we have called her back to see what we can do to make her happy but she want answer or return our call. What she fail to tell you that of all the quotes she got we were $70 lower than her lowest bid, so we strive to keep our prices low and to give great service. Again thank you for your business and we will allways go the extra mile to give good service and do it right.
I called Delta Appliance Repair because their headquarters were located in the neighborhood next to mine, and I thought it would be easy for them to get to me. I also called them because they had a high review rate on kudzu. I'm now beginning to realize most of the 5 star reviewers on Kudzu have only written 1 or 2 reviews with Delta Appliance repair being one of them, which leads me to believe many of those reviews maybe fake or written by friends, not actual clients. While Herman in person was professional and a nice man, getting him to show up at the time HE TOLD US he would be at our home was impossible. He wasted a lot of our time while we sat around waiting for him to show up, including one day he never showed at all. While my microwave was eventually fixed, the entire process was unnecessarily painful and wasted a lot of our time, time I don't get paid for while sitting around waiting for someone to show up. Update: Since sharing my experience with Delta Appliance Repair on another consumer review website, I have received harassing messages from suspicious accounts which only review Delta Appliance Repair.

We are sorry that you fell that these are fake reviews but we gave you good service and went out of our way to find a part that would cost you less, and what is not told is that you canceled your appointment and had to be worked in on the next available date. As allways we give a window not a exact time because we never know how long a repair may take as we dont hurry thru our repair we make sure they are done right and working proper so yes we may run a little late some times. And as for harassing messages no one knows your email address and who you are but if this happened let us appogize to you for them an after 34 years in business and giving great service we do incourage our customers to write a review. This repair was done three weeks pryor to this review being written. If you fell that something was wrong with the repair then please contact us and we will give you your money back. Hermen showed up at my Chocolate shop The Choclate Box in Conyers GA. He showed up on time and check out my display cabinet. Only to find that the plug I was using was not suited for appliances and did not have enough power to sustain the unit. So that was the reason the unit would stop working after 4 hours. The previous repair man tried to sell me a new compressor. Herman ask me to keep the cabinet pluged in for a day or two to see if it stops working it has not. When I came in this morning I got a call from Herman calling to see if the unit was still working. Herman told me some things I could do to trouble shoot my fridge at home and they worked also. You have to be very knowledgeable in your field to be able to trouble shoot with out even seeing the unit. I will certainly recommend Delta Appliance Repair. It is very hard to find a knowledgeable Honest repairman.

Four scheduled visits, almost six hours of waiting, and my ice-maker still isn't working. You'd think that when you're the first appointment of the day, a person could get there less than one hour late, but apparently that's asking too much.

We do regret that our that repairman missed you, but please tell it like it happened our repairman was told that you would be there until eleven A M and he arrived at 9:45 and there was no one there and there only one scheduled visit. We have even called you four times and you will not answer or return our calls. Because we open at 8 A M does not mean that we will be at your home at 8 A M and you had a window between 8 A M and 11 A M. If only you would return or answer our call we will make this right for you as we go the extra mile to make a customer happy. We do thank you for your business as with all our customers.
I've been meaning to write this for quite some time. Sorry for the delay! After tirelessly scouring the internet and asking friends for a referral for a refrigerator repair person, I finally found Herman from Kudzu. His timing was a little off...took an hour or so longer to arrive than he said however, his service and price was perfection. Herman is friendly, professional and conscientious. It took 2 trips to fix the refrigerator and has been running great since his visit the week of Thanksgiving. Herman even called me a few times over the next 2 weeks to make sure it was running properly. I highly recommend his services and if needed, will call him again in the future.

I used this customer last week and finished up this week. Prior to my calling, I read the reviews and yes,unfortunately Herman does show up late! First day he told me he'll be there in an hour and appeared 3 hours later. I mentioned that to him and his response was," he gave me a window time". Not True! I also mentioned 90% of his post says his tardy. I understand, because I think he thinks he is giving you a window of time. He needs to clarify the window.:) However, he and his son fixed my refrigerator w/o a problem, the price quotes were accurate, the work is excellent, they are professional, and I referred his business and he picked up another satisfied customer. I will continue to use them. Honesty, professionalism, and REALISTIC PRICING are characteristics I hold value to when dealing with Independent Contractors. 1st time he calls saying he'll be at my house in 30 mins. 1.5 hours later he shows up. I told him that after running in oven clean mode the oven stopped working and found online that it could be the thermofuse. He said don't believe the Internet and told me I needed a control board. I ordered that and he finally showed up after 3 days of calling him and dented my cabinets and in the end said it could be the thermo fuse. Now I don't have an oven for Christmas

We try hard to give great service and we were within the time that we schculed for the appointment. As for the part he took it on his own to order the part because he said he could get it cheaper on the internet as we have never ask a customer to order a part. This customer said that he did not need this oven for the holiday because his family was going out of the country for the holidays now look at the date he still had three days to repair this oven as we told him that we would make the repair the next day and he did'nt want to repair it.We do thank you.
My oven door wouldn't unlock after using the self-cleaning cycle and Herman came out on the Saturday morning before Thanksgiving and fixed it in no time! He's extremely considerate and professional and I won't hesitate to call Delta Appliances in the future! Thank you, Herman and Delta Appliances!
