Dent1st

Just want to say, first off, that my dentist and hygienist were great, no complaints about care, when you can get it, that is.

Recently my Saturday appointment, that I had made 6 months prior was cancelled 3 days prior to the appointment. They were able to get me another Saturday appointment two weeks later. They then cancelled that rescheduled one, too, just 3 days before the appointment.

When I asked them to make it right and get me in quickly, they said nothing could be done to help me and they didn't know when they could get me in (I need Saturdays due to work).

Extremely poor customer service and they absolutely will not right their own wrongs. They won't even consider going above and beyond to make things right when they mess up your appointment (twice in a row!).

Used to like this dental practice, but can't see that I would ever go back now. My dentist hasn't even tried to call me and apologize and make it right. It's like I didn't even matter to them, although I'd been a faithful customer for 6 years.

Very disappointed in their recently poor customer service and last minute appointment cancellations.

I don’t complain on their medical part because they are professions but they have an awful billing system.
After 2 years of not having dental coverage, I made a visit to Dent1st for cleaning with my new insurance. I bought a set of teeth whitening kit and paid 80.00 for it( paid in full) . couple days later statements started to flow into my mailbox. First one was almost 300.00 showing no payment from insurance and a whitening kit. After my calls to them and to the insurance company , the answer was that dent1st never submit it to the insurance and ooppss you are right you did pay for whitening kit. Next statement showed a balance of 35.00 from 2 years ago that I have no way of confirming it and I never received their letters about it either. 3rd statement came with 275.00 , I had to call again and this time their record showed that I owe them around 35.00 for whitening kit since they applied the money I paid for the kit toward the previous balance that I can’t confirm. For one hour visit , so far I had to call back and forth 3-4 times and be on hold, talk to different personnel, call different departments, leave messages for them and still no final result. They sent you a statement while their record showing different thing. In future I won’t go to these guys for sure.

When I first visited Dent1st, I went to a location that did not have a surgeon that could perform my particular procedure (pulling wisdom teeth). So, I was referred to another location. I went in for a consultation and was told by the assistant to abstain from eating or drinking anything for at least 12 hours prior to surgery. So I came in a few days later to get my teeth pulled and was told by the surgeon that he could not perform the surgery that day because he wanted me to take a prescription anti-anxiety medication and antibiotic beforehand. I was furious! The surgeon told me that the assistants should know his procedure and should've let me know that he had to give me the prescriptions before surgery. I couldn't come back for surgery until I got the medications and waited another 4 weeks when he was available. Needless to say, I went to another dental professional who took care of me from the beginning. I will never go back to Dent1st!

I used to go to the one in Alpharetta and always loved the service (and TV in the ceiling of course). I had the same dental hygenist for 3 or 4 years and she was great. After I moved I started going to the one in Perimeter. They transfered my files with no problem and service is equally good.

I never though I would say I love going to the dentist, but I do thanks to Dent1st. They are a state of the art facility with trained, professional staff and very accommodating working hours. Did I mentioned the TV's in the ceiling [is the only place where I get to hold the remote and watch whatever I want!]. I have recommended their services to all my friends and they have been pleased too. With so many locations, I'm sure they have one close to you!
