Left feeling like I was not important, 6/24/2011

I went to the Jonesboro Depoe location today.My appt was at 3pm. I arrived and signed in at that time. A gentleman came in about 5 or 10 mins after me and signed in. About 3:30pm the receptionist... called the gentleman that came in after me up and gave him paperwork, then she called me up.I was stunned to say the least.When I inquired about why he went first she told me that his appt was before mine(2:45pm)I was told on the phone by the Office Mgr that they give them a 15 min grace period. Well, apparently with Depoe you can get 20 or 25 mins.It seems that it is ok to inconvenience me (new patient), when I was on time and he was not only late but more than 15 mins.I asked for my money back and left.I was looking for a positive family type eye care center, thought that I found one, but it looks like I will be in search of another one.If only you would have posted this rule up, I would have been prepared to wait. When I am late for an appt, I expect to be next based on how I signed in at the front desk. Depoe you have just lost a family of 4 plus all the people that I can tell about my experience. Please change your policy to make it more user friendly or post your sign in process.

VERY DISAPPOINTED, 3/23/2011

My overall experience with this clinic was the worse experience I ever had with any eye clinic I ever been to. first of all, they schedule 30 mins early at 1:00pm which that is the employees lunch... time. And which I had to check my son out of school 30 mins before that time. While I was there, I was there before everybody and they took in a white man before my son that came in the office after us. Then when picking out my son glassess, the lady maked me feel like she didn't want to help us. I feel like we was gettin brush off. exp, she didn't to show us the nice glassess. She kept showing us the ones we did not want, and she kept trying to maked my son try on the girls glasses. Today 3/23/2011 was the day to pick up the glassess, I called before i drove out to the office and ask what time they close because it was already 5:00 pm. And I told the man that answered the phone I'll be there in 10 mins. When I got there, my time was 5:24pm and they told me that they were close and that they could not do anything for me. which they could have told me on the phone that they were shuting down already so I wouldn't have drove out there.

Good Doc

Never had any grips with Dr. Depoe. When I arrived for an appointment I never waited for more than 15 minutes, probably less. He took great care of my eyes, and tried to give me the best value for my insurance. Too bad my insurance changed.
