We took our Xterra to have the AC checked out. They made us sign a document with little to no explaination. We told them NOT to fix anything more than the oil change. After finding out they wanted to... charge us $1400 to fix the AC as well as changing a few belts and hoses, we told them to hold off on anything other than the oil change. When we went to pick it up, the bill was $410. They fixed the hoses and belts along with an oil change. In addition, they charged us $190 for a diagnostic exam. We were outraged. They wouldn't reverse the charges or show us our old hoses and belts. We were out $410.When we asked for the manager, he was not available. We left a message and have yet to hear back from him. This was not the first time its happened at a Nissan Dealership in Las Vegas. We own 2 Nissans and love the models. However, we will NEVER buy another car from them again!!!!!! Do not end up like us, do not take your car to Desert Nissan or buy from them!!!!VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
To the desert Nissan Service Staff, I have dealt with this Nissan service department for 7 years. I bought a Frontier from them about 3 years ago. I am writing this to say how disappointed I... was in the customer service today. I brought my car in 2 days ago. They called me to say they only found that I needed something very small. OK, but for a diagnostic I asked that they check something else. No call yesterday, No call roday. I finally just went in and no one said hello. After paying 150 dollars for a diagnostic and unfriendly service. you win...I won't be coming back. Sincerely, Sabrina GouldVIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »

Car buying at it's best. The staff and salesman (David Froemming) were very nice and personable. They allowed me to take my time and go over every little detail without any hint of attitude. They were very flexible and offered a great deal. I had been shopping not only in Vegas but within a 500 mile radius. David never pressured me into buying anything that speaks volumes over a lot of other salesman at other dealerships. It took a while to get the deal done and head out of the door but well worth it in the end. If you are in the market for a new car without a lot of hassle then go and see David Froemming. He is great!

This is the way car buying should be, no bull, no hassles straight up honest people who want you to be HAPPY! Our salesman, Joe Spann was personable, flexible and easy to work with. The process still took a few hours but it wasn't the usual bore. Chris Ditmore gave us the lowest price upfront and some extras we did not expect. We have purchased LOTS of cars, Porsches, BMWs, Jeeps, Dodges, Toyotas etc., and this was by far the smoothest and most tolerable of them all. I dreaded having to go to buy a car expecting all of the usual nonsense; lies, manipulations and fluff. No balloons here ladies and gents, just honest guys making a living. So, if you need a vehicle, and detest the stereotypical car salesman routine, you won't get it here, check them out and ask for Joe Spann.

We just purchased a 2012 Frontier, we did our homework on the internet, took that information to David Froemming the internet specialist and he matched our price for that vehicle, no b.s. very helpful, no haggling, did not push for a sale, very very nice experience, i am also planning on buying another vehicle from him. Honest people, also his manager Elie was very helpful. Thank you Desert Nissan for an easy experience into buying a vehicle.

Expect to spend at min. 2 hours for a simple oil change or mileage check-up EVEN with an appointment. The new location is great, but still the same, drop off your car and wait. While you wait you have kids, TV, and sales people approach you so either bring an iPod for distraction or have a friend pick you up! Atleast you can make your appt online now, but still don't expect the appt to actually mean anything!

I was referred to dealership from a friend who works at another Desert dealership. Went in, had to special order vehicle and during the wait process for the car sales manager Tim Slaik kept me informed of everything and returned my call within minutes. When car arrived the sales transaction went very smooth.
Took my Nissan in for servicing, it was quick and efficient from the time they greeted me when I pulled up to when they called me to give me my keys when they were done. They answered my questions with confidence........I did not by my car at this Nissan dealer but I will next time.

My second review. I bought a new Altma in Dec. 06. [Tennessee} my visor broke and I took it to Desert Nissan for repair at which time I was informed they would have to run a check on it for a recall on the motor. Quincy [service manager] [ what a joke! ] told me later that day everything looked good and I could pick up my car the following morning. When my boyfriend got there they told him it would be about an hour. At which time I called Desert Nissan and they informed me they changed the motor. Now I am wondering why Quincty has lied to me. I told my boyfriend something just did not feel right about this.I felt like now I would have problems with this motor. [you know, gut feeling] Well guess what; now it is leaking oil Now I have to take it back in to ANOTHER dealership to fix it. The motor only has about 700 miles or so on it. Desert Nissan sux! Stay away from them! I bought the car new. I will never buy another Nissan product again! Chevy will get my business again. Sorry I ever strayed from you. The only reason I gave D. N. one star was because the web site made me before I could post this rating.
I spent $1000 to have my car's 30,000 mi checkup, new back brake pads, replace A/C hose. First I was quoted one price, when I returned I was quoted a much higher price, didn't receive full value on the coupon I brought in either and when I left, my brakes still squeeked. I took it back and was told that was normal although they never squeeked before. THEN, the gas cap is a mfg defect. It won't keep the vacuum seal and the service engine light goes on. I took it in and was told just to make sure I turned the cap at least 5 clicks and it should be okay. No charge. This has happened at lease 3 or 4 times now with the gas cap/engine light. I went to get Smog Checked and didn't pass due to the gas cap problem. I wasted $20 at the emissions place. I immediately went to Desert Nisson and they wanted to charge me $109.?? to tell me its the gas cap and push a button to reset the light. I asked why should I pay that when it's just the gas cap. I was previously told the light won't reset itself. Why should I pay now when I didn't have to pay before? Plus, it's a mfg defect so why should I be penalized everytime it happens. This is my 3rd Nissan I leased through them and it will be the last. No loyalty from them or customer service. An single senior woman is at the mercy of people like them.
As soon as I questioned the difference between their advertised website price and the actual sticker on the car.(I know it was the same car because the VIN numbers matched) I was asked to leave and they proceeded to yell at me and my mother (who is a senior citizen) to "get out" all the way to my car and they even told me I had 5 minutes to vacate the premises.

They yelled at me and ran me out when I question the price difference between their website and the dealership. I was yelled at all the way to my car and then to I had 5 minutes to vacate the premises.
Horrible sales ethics! I had the worse experience "car shopping" at Desert Nissan! BEWARE and stay far away from this dealership!
My first experience with Desert Nissan was excellent- got a great deal and only had my engine light go on twice the 6 years that I had it. So naturally, I return to do my trade there in hopes of the same experience. The minute I left the lot, the engine light goes on. I went back and my sales guy says it's because the gas tank sensor senses oxygen so just make sure it clicks a few times after I put gas in the van. Then as I was driving down Sahara, the brakes were LOUD. I returned the next day and waited 1 hour for them to say that it was the dust on brand new tires that did that and to give it a week. After the week was up, I felt I'd been had. I demanded my trade back and they refused saying that it had been passed the 3 days. So I left and a week later got a flat (which was not their fault) but the spare tire had a plug and was flat, the engine light was back on, and the brakes were still squeaking bad. My husband is deployed and I admit, I don't know a thing about what to look for in vehicles before I buy them and sad to say, I did trust my sales guy. But even while I was there with my 3 kids, he didn't seem to care at all about why I was throwing a fit about the van he sold to me and reluctantly gave me "the huge favor" of returning my trade back. What a great lesson learned.
