I found Detour through Bumble and Bumble's website when we moved here from Houston. My previous stylist was at a BB salon and she recommended that method of finding a new stylist. The difference that level of training and expertise makes is irreplacable. Jillian has been doing my hair for a couple of years now. I had my moment where I thought I'd try someone cheaper and I was ALWAYS disappointed with whatever hack I found at the strip mall. I made my way back to Jillian and begged her to repair the damage because she is truly an artist not to mention a super sweet girl I really enjoy spending an hour or so visiting with. She approaches my hair like the masterpeice I THINK it should be :) (don't we all?). The stylists there ARE a little pricey but my hair is important to me. Every single time I walk out of there feeling like a million bucks and everyone I know compliments me on my hair. The difference a great stylist with great training makes is priceless. The funky vibe in the salon and store also make me feel a little younger and forget that I have a 2 year old at home waiting for Momma...if just for a little bit : ) I'd recommend Jillian to everyone except that then it'd be harder for me to get an appointment, so SHHHH! Don't tell anyone how great she is!

As the owner of Detour Salon, it is very important for me to address any and all reviews of our customer's experience while either at my salon or in my store. I wish to thank all of you who have contributed both excellent as well as not so kind reviews of the salon. Reviews are an important process of our salon operations and all reviews are taken very seriously. We solicit reviews with each new customer through an on-line company named Zoomerang.com., and we reward our customers with cash for their opinions. It is from these reviews that feedback is given directly to our stylists & support staff during our one on one meetings each week. All of our employees take our reviewing process seriously as we realize that oftentimes people are not so inclined to be honest in the moment and feel more empowered in the privacy of their homes. We sincerely wish for anyone to contact us directly to resolve any experience that does not meet their expectations. We are a very large salon with a very large, well educated and technically trained staff of stylists. No customer should ever feel they cannot be honest with one of our staff, no matter what the circumstance. Our deepest apology to anyone who was not happy and our sincerest gratitude to all of our customers who were generous enough to take the time to pass on their opinions. Peace, Crystal Wells Owner Detour Salon & Store

had a great stylist here who moved, and when i came back to try a few of the other ones, i got horrible haircuts. one looked like a bad version of the friends "rachel" haircut, and another was uneven and just bad. i had to go to another stylist to fix the damage from the first one. very expensive, you are paying for the ambiance and the attitude. beware!

My husband has been going here for a few years - his hair always looks great. Previously, he would look diffferent everytime he came home. The boutique next door is AWESOME! You'll always find something unique.

Thank you for the review. We have a huge customer base and a large part of tham are men. We are happy that both you and your husband are pleased with his service. Thanks!
Went here when I first moved to the area. The girl that cut my hair wasn't overly friendly-I wasn't impressed with the cut either-especially for the price! You're paying for atmosphere here, the location and decor are great.

I use to go here regularly but my favorite stylists left. The last time I went I was not pleased with my hair. They are rather pricey as well. They do have a cute shop in there that I like to look through.
