I came into the Diamond Boutique & spoke to Mali Digius, the owner. I showed her a ring that my mom-in-law had given to me and asked her what they would charge if I wanted to make the ring into a band that could sit next to another ring of mine. She asked that I leave the ring with her so she could look at the stones and give an estimate. She phoned me WEEKS later and quoted me over the phone at over $1300. I told her that I was unable to do anything and would be in to pick up my ring. She said she would like to just have a picture drawn up for me so I could see what the ring would look like. I told her that I wasn't going to have the ring made right now and would really rather just pick up my ring. Mali then stated don't worry about it, it won't cost for us to draw the picture and you can see what we can do. You will just love it. So I said to go ahead and have the picture drawn. She phoned weeks later and told me drawing was done and she had a "surprise" for me. To MY SHOCK she had taken apart my ring! She had removed all of my baguettes and diamonds as well as the main stone... and my ring was mangled and some stones were chipped! This was a family heirloom & it's ruined!

I found this jewelry store after attending a charity event. I came in to redeem my gift certificate and was amazed to learn that this store is involved with hundreds of charities throughout San Diego, not just the one I help out. The people who work there were so gracious, especially the owner, and the jewelry was amazing. I told my husband about my visit and several months later he surprised me with a beautiful diamond ring for our anniversary that I had seen there. I love the store and everything they are about...giving!
