Way different take on Office
We find it utterly inappropriate to name office staff like that in public-- it's your own dirty little laundry your putting on display when you should go to the manager in charge to voice your complaint about there inconsistency. Had a totally different experience wiht the staff and teachers being professional and really really instructing our son carefully about what they call precision driving and new defensive driving because of safety programs on board our newer cars. I'm glad we sent D to Northstar and encourage other parents to voice there opinions too. There aren't many here. But if you got a problem take it to someone in charge.

Office Staff made for a bad experience
One office staff member will tell you one thing, and the next will completely contradict them. They NEVER call you back. It's not the fact the I need to pay extra because my son didn't finish his drives, it's the fact that Dorothy told me ""No problem - I'll make a note in his file, but the computer is down so we can't schedule the drives. I will call you back when it is fixed."" Then NO CALL. I call back and Toni says, ""Dorothy doesn't have the authority to say that."" and ""There are too many different people in the call center to return calls - drivers are responsible for that."" WHAT? Returning a call when you say you will is basic customer service, right? I think even if Dorothy doesn't have the authority to say something, but did say it, then a responsible, customer oriented business should honor what their employee tells a customer.I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY - they have competition in Maple Valley now. If I was you I would check them out first.

LOVE THIS DRIVING SCHOOL!!!
This school is an awesome driving school. We live many miles away but heard about it and decided to make the trek for our daughter. It was worth it. Never a nicer bunch of people than the employees at Northstar. The owner, too, is not someone who just ""owns a business"". He has been involved in this industry (saving lives, too) for years. He has also worked with youth before this endeavor. He has a great teaching style and knows how to keep the kids engaged. The family who recommended ours was thrilled with their student's outcome and how conscientious she was after having received her license. They really TEACH at Northstar and don't just shuffle your kid through without care. Those other drive schools like 411? Pffsst! OVER PRICED and under served. I knew of a few families who went through them and those teachers are cops. First off, why would tax payers want their tax dollars going towards a cop in a drive car when that cop could be needed for an emergency? Secondly, they are cops, NOT educators. Just sayin'. The classroom time was boring so I'm told and the instructors/cops are not exactly approachable. Thank goodness we have choices. Northstar in Auburn has my vote!!
