Go somewhere else!
I was definitely disappointed in the service at Lake Dillon Marina when went there with my family. The lake was beautiful and the company was wonderful, but the grumpy crabs who work in the Marina office really put a damper on the experience. We were briefed on how to operate the boat and where we were allowed to go on the map, which was pretty par for the course. During our rental time with the boat, we hit a random rock in the middle of the lake, so we were expecting to have to pay for the repair of the boat. No problem, we signed the waiver, so we knew what to expect. However, when we got back to the Marina, we were greeted with TERRIBLE customer service.My biggest issue is that when you run a company that specializes in a service rather than a product, then your dealings with customers really needs to be special. The office manager (a man named Shannon) didn't even offer to come look at the propellor to see if it was salvagable, so he just charged us for a complete replacement instead. After we assuaded to the fact that we'd pay for the propellor (which, again, we were expecting), he asked my dad for clarification on where in the lake we hit the rock. So my dad pointed on the map and Shannon basically accused my dad of taking out a red marker they use in the office and drawing arrows on himself! I stared at him with a slack jaw when he outright accused a paying customer of lying. Unbelievable. In the grand scheme of things, I really don't care about the cost of replacing the propellor, but this Marina DOES NOT DESERVE TO HAVE CUSTOMERS. They simply do not do enough to earn new customers or to keep loyal customers.I hear that there are other marina options on Lake Dillon, and I would strongly suggest using another one instead.
