Be Weary
I don't usually write reviews, but wanted others to benefit from my experience. I had heard really good things about the place prior to going and have had decent to good experiences with Petco so I don't consider myself difficult. All I will say is this: the owner and staff are a bit rude. They don't appear to like what they do and if your dog likes being coddled even a little, this is NOT the place. Maybe they were just having an off day? The value was great, but what's the point if your dog comes back scared and they are rude.

Find another groomer
I took my dog for grooming a week and a half ago. When I picked him up 4 hours later, there were places that had not even been clipped. There was still hair in his eyes that had not been cut. I was told by the groomer that it was the fault of the comb. When I called to give the owner (Kris) the opportunity to make things right, she argued and made accusations towards me before she stated that I could bring my dog in this morning and they would redo his cut. When I took him in and showed her the places that had not even been clipped, she was extremely rude and refused to listen to anything I had to say. She has extremely poor people and customer service skills. She refused to redo the cut and then told me to leave the premises and to never bring my dog in there again. She refused to give me a refund. I will tell everyone I know of that has a dog not to go there for services. The place was dirty and they allow all of the dogs regardless of size to run together whether they have been groomed or not. If I want playtime for mine, I will take him to the dogpark. If I want a grooming, I will certainly take him to a different groomer.

Great Value
I started taking my dog to this groomer after receiving a recommendation from our trusted vet of 16 years. I was very pleased with the pricing and how great my dog looked when we picked him up. We have a small dog who is well socialized and does fine with other dogs unless they get in his face for too long, and then he growls. He has been fine when we drop him off, but when we pick him up, my husband reported he was placed in a kennel. I have no problem with this, as I would ALWAYS prefer him to be safe in a kennel in "solitary" if he was not getting along with other dogs! The staff there has been professional, if not overly friendly and warm. Yes, some customer service training may be needed in the "friendliness" department, but I am okay with less than friendly staff as long as my "kids" are well cared for.

Service
I've taken my two dogs here several times. They have done a very nice job; just be specific as to what you want done & don't want done. I like the fact that the dogs are not kept in the cages. The biggest opportunity is how the service is from a people perspective. The staff works hard, however, the friendliness customer service factor is missing from the phone to in person. They must work on this; it is critical to their business. I only recommend their business because I know they do nice work, but with some hesitation because they do not have that warm and friendly greeting, etc. Hopefully, they will work on this one. I have been in customer service management for years. The reality is this: They are inconsistent with how they make customers feel when they speak to you over the phone, when you walk in the door, when you express a concern from a previous groom experience, and when you leave. Every customer that walks in that door should be greeted with a smile, how are you today, etc. Everyone who walks out that door after paying should be thanked for their business & see you again, etc. As a customer, this is all missing. Simple, consistent customer service changes will only help them. There is a fairly new business that has opened by Kroger(Dunwoody Club Dr.) who sell dog products, holistic food, etc.that has an experienced groomer. The store owners are very welcoming and neighborhood friendly. This is where my dogs are going now.

Love this place!
My poor dog does not handle change well in her normal routine so a trip to the groomers can be traumatic. However, the people are Dirty Dog's Day Out are so friendly and gentle that my dog's tail actually wags when we walk in the door! I love that the dogs are never put in cages and are free to roam around and play when they aren't being worked on. I've been to a bunch of places around Atlanta and no other place holds a candle them DDDO!
