My kids have been going to Discovery Point for 3 years now. My son was 6 months and my daughter was 3 yrs. The teachers and curriculum are great!!! My daughter learned how to write her name in 2 months of being there. My son learned sign language, shapes, colors, ABC's and still learning so much more. The director is very nice and the kids love her. The owner is extremely involved in EVERY aspect of the business. She is so involved with the kids that she knows just about all of them by name. The rooms are always clean. As for the last post, I have NEVER seen any insect in the cafeteria or classrooms in our 3 years of attending this school. You get so much more than you pay for at this school. It is a great feeling when you drop your kids off and they run into the school to hug the teachers in the morning. I love knowing they are in excellent, loving hands.

One word: DISGUSTING! From roach infested classrooms, to poor hygiene practices, this Child-Care center is one step away from being quarantined. Inspect the cafeteria and keep your alternative child care options open! Unfortunately, my daughter stayed for a few months and not only was she was sick the entire time, but we were overcharged after we left. Run and don't look back... a roach might be gaining on you.

Although we clean and sanitize throughout the day, it's not uncommon for a child to be sick more often when starting any preschool until they build their immunity. Because a healthy environment is so important to us, we have purchased a ZONO Sanitech. For more information about that you can visit http://www.zonosanitech.com.
About being overcharged - You were simply charged the 2 week notice that is our policy in which you agreed to when enrolling. All centers require a notice and some even require a 30 day notice!
I try my very best to please everyone yet I know I can't. Over the course of almost 10 years, I have had the privilege of touching over 1,000 children's lives. I have established relationships with the families and in my heart I believe most of them were/are very happy here.
Again, my apologies for your experience. If you wish to discuss this further, I'd be happy to speak to you. You can call me at 770-720-8682.
To anyone who needs child care please, please, please look at another place. Up front management are not professional at all and they do not acknowledge their parents. The director looks like she just rolled out of bed. You know the final straw for me was when I dropped my first child off and saw nasty roaches crawling on the tables everywhere. Then when I went to drop off my second child in his classroom smelled like a septic tank. I have never been so angry in my life because this roach and septic tank smell issue have been going on for awhile. I am so fed up!!! The owner doesn't care about the children all she care about is MONEY!!!

It is unfortunate that over the course of the last several years this facility has steadily declined in it's level of service to both our community and to our children. There is a revolving door and it seems that the 'management' finds a way to get the good teachers out the door as quickly as possible. The owner will often tell parents what she thinks they want to know and the 'director', if you can call her that, can be seen chattering about in the front entrance with visitors while babies are left crying in the cribs as the unattentive nursery workers mill around as if there is nothing to do. With the Goddard School right there...it seems this owner would find a better way to 'enhance' her school than buying expensive fish tanks, flat screen tvs, and video gaming systems for the students. It's unfortunate that even a day care the televisions and video games provide more supervision and learning opportunities than the actual staff do.

We had both of our children enrolled in the Pre K program at Discovery Point #37 and and are extremly happy with the outcomes! They attended Pre K three years apart from one another and with different teachers; however, both my son and daughter received excellent care and learned so much. Both left the program prepared for Kindergarten which was confirmed with our son's performance in Kindergarten. When it was time to enroll our daughter in a Pre K program, we disregarded other centers that are much more convenient to us and our son's elementary school to return to Discovery Point. We HIGHLY suggest this school!

I made a big mistake keeping my childrent in this facility for as long as I did. The management is aware of what is going on and does nothing to make sure that teachers and staff are educated about the state guidelines. At first everything seemed to be going very well until the revolving staff door became out of control. You would get used to one teacher and then she would be gone. The next one would be worse off then the first and so on. The infant feeding schedule is a joke to them. My child didn't learn a thing from them except to yell when he was angry. Plenty to choose from in the Canton area and I sure wouldn't put my child in the hands of this Discovery Point. Stay away from this facility!!!

This facility is discusting! The owner has poor customer service. I pulled my child outdue to her being neglected and mistreated by managment. the teachers were good. but the turn over there is terrible! If you are looking for a place that provides a loving environment for your child..THIS IS NOT THE PLACE!

I removed my children from this facility a while back only to move them to the newer River Green location....both of them are horrible. There are some great teachers, but the managment/owners are only in it for a quick buck. My advice to anyone is to check out Primrose where I have moved my daughter. It is worth the extra few bucks a week.

My daughter started out at Discovery Point as a one year old and she absolutely loves it. It's great having that sense of security knowing she is in a great school with loving teachers. This is the one of the best schools in the area and it's close to Bridgemill with quick access to I-575 which is great for us. We love the family environment starting with Ruth Ann and it trickles down to all the teachers. Everyone does a great job looking out for our kids best interest and always making sure they are safe. Thank you Discovery Point.

I've never taken the time to write a review (good or bad) about a business, but I feel so strongly about this particular facility that I am compelled to do so now. My niece is enrolled at this Discovery Point and I have been impressed with it from the very first day. This learning center is owned & managed by well qualified, involved individuals who truly care about each student. The campus is immaculate, the kids always seem happy to be there, and the staff clearly loves their jobs. I only wish this facility had been around when my own kids were young enough to benefit from it! My niece is thriving and continues to surprise us with how quickly she is mastering the skills needed to enter kindergarten this fall. I would HIGHLY recommend this Discovery Point to anyone looking for an early childhood development center. In an area saturated with mediocre childcare options, this Discovery Point stands out from the rest as a beacon of excellence.

Finding a place that you feel like your child is cared for and is safe can be a task. We finally decided on this Discovery Point over 2 years ago and we are so glad we did. We did notice several staff changes in the beginning of 08 that some thought was worrisome, but ended up being a positive change. The director from then has moved on - Thank goodness! We appreciate the safety measures they take. For instance, the youger children have safety belts on their chairs for meal times and when they watch Baby Einstien or Sing Language videos. Good job! We have nothing but good things to say about Discovery Point and how much our children have learned and love it there. I do have to admit we have visited others daycares in the area even the one in the same shopping center - just out of curiosity. There was none that made us feel more comfortable! You all get an "A"!

This Discovery Point location has been a blessing to our family. We have been in several other 'schools' and they don't provide near as much love, care and education than this school does. They have a wonderful staff and the management are always very helpful. I appreciate the extra safety efforts they make for having straps for the little chairs while they eat their meals, and watch the spanish videos and baby einstein etc. Keep up the good work!

At first it seemed like a great place for our little girl. But everyday, a growing pit of concern grew in my belly. Kids strapped to chairs, no sign of any type of curriculum, some "teachers" at this "learning center" seemed to be little more than GED educated (if that), and the food they gave her was often just a sugar loaded treat, not a good nutritious meal. Eventually, it felt just shy of abusive to bring her there anymore and we found a better environment for our girl. Please consider very closely before enrolling your child to this day care.

We have been with this Discovery Point for over 2 years now and love it. I know the center suffered some growing pains, but seems to have worked those out along with the bad weeds! My child loves coming to school and has many friends there. She is learning so much and sometimes doesn't even want to leave. Thanks to all of you at Discovery Point! My family loves it there! :)

This daycare is no longer the best. All I will say is you get what you pay for. Changes made over the last six months have NOT been for the better. I was sad to take my child out, because there are some good employees there. But the management really needs to take a good hard look and get rid of a few bad seeds.
