At Discovery Point Child Development Centers, we believe that we can help children succeed by fostering a love of learning with child-centered activities that promote self-discovery, problem solving, and creative thinking.
My son's teachers are amazing. The actual staff are wonderful and he's made a lot of friends there. Unfortunately, the Administration is disorganized. They don't do well with monthly payments and their accounting is terrible. I pulled my son out because of bad accounting.

Awful experience for my children here. No one greats you on entry most times. My child always comes home sad or dirty. I've witness other kids hitting my child or other children. General neglect from some staff members regularly with younger children. I've moved my child to a montessori school and have none and I mean none of the behavior problems they had in this sorry excuse for a day care. You've been warned, steer clear of this place

My son loves the Discovery Point for preschool. The staff is mature, knowledgeable, and excellent with the children. We are very happy with this school and will be sending our other child there.

Although there are things I am not always pleased with such as staff turnover and cleanliness, I believe no matter what center we would go to i would have issues. Typically its not an occupation that is paid well and to be frank if its not me takig care of my children in the environment I've created for them (home)I would never be happy . But the teachers and staff i have grown to know over the years have been wonderful. I feel open about addressing my issues and have always found that they are remedied. and my children are happy well rounded children that are excited to go there each day .

The only good thing about this daycare is the location. The Director is just a glorified receptionist with no people skills or authority. The facility is old, smelly and in need of renovations. I can say the staff is friendly but afraid to say anything to the Owner for fear of being fired. The turnover is also very high, the bathrooms are dirty the sinks all have dirt and mold around them and the overall place and carpet needs a good cleaning. Not what you expect!!! Stay away!

Most if not all the teachers, wear a permanent frown. They are always complaining about the owner. Subsequently, the turnover rate is very high. Personally, I think the owner does the best she can. She has a good heart. However, she needs to hire alot more caliber staff. My child has had some great experiences as well as some unpleasant ones, but that comes with the territory. My child abilities and capabilities skyrocketed when Ms. Lori Benvenuto took charge of his class. She is a very astute and exceptionally gifted teacher. She always pushed their limits when it came to learning and it worked. Kids at 2yrs. were counting (1-10) in Spanish and counting in English(1-20). It was disheartening to see her go, but she is one teacher you need in your classroom. Her standards are extremely high!

We had our three children in the after school care. After losing my job I had to pull them out and they were devastated. The staff have always been very caring even called us while they were not inrolled and asked how the children were doing. Not that I am imployed again they are back and loving it. Thank you to the staff

I was very disappointed with the way they handled a situation. They pulled my son out of their Pre-K program and left me a phone message that I did not receive. No one bothered to talk to me personally or let me know so I could find other childcare. Since I didn't get the message, I took him to school the next day, and they just told me that he was dis-enrolled. After attending the school for more than a year, no one had the courtesy to talk to me about the situation. So we were asked to leave the next morning and given a name of a person from the state to speak to. Their only concern is making money but there should be some ethics where children are involved. The owner is only concerned with what kind of scores and funding they get on the Pre-K program, not how the children are affected by their actions. I chose not to argue with the state about their decision because I really dont want my son in a school where his welfare doesn't come first. He has been devastated by being pulled out of the program. He had been attending the program since September and they decided to pull him out in March.

While my daughter attended the 1-2 yo classroom she was bitten 6 times and had been pushed down 3 times in 3 days and I was not notified, not even when she was bitten almost in her eye, until I picked her up. I informed them that I would be taking her elsewhere and even after I removed her from the daycare because of the biting and being pushed down they kept her on their roster and wanted me to pay for the time she was no longer there. I would not recommend this place to anyone who loves their children.

My son started at 6 weeks in the infant room and is now 2 1/2. I keep a shrewd eye on the day care because I'm that kind of parent and I've never had issue with this day care. I recommend it highly.

I had my infant at this school for 6 months. Although the administrators and teachers were very nice, the infant room had too many kids in the class (14) and were unable to do anything with the children besides changing or feeding them. I have had other friends who have their kids in Discovery Point's Pre-K class and are very happy there.
