Dixie D Carpet

I was very pleased with the work performed by Dixie D. Floor-coverings. The salesperson was very knowledgeable and friendly . They called the day before to let me know my installer name and about what time he would be there. The installer arrived when they said he would and installed my carpet job,even moved some furniture that I thought I would have moved. I will be using them again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Oh I also forgot they even bound a scrap piece of carpet I had left over free..

This company is a total joke and its not a funny one. They don't come when they say they will. They try to charge their installers for repairs or customer complaints so the installers only want to do the bare minimum and get out of your home so that they can afford to work for this company. The owner Dave came to do our quote and promised to fix sqeeky floor board as part of the pre install but never did. They ruined two external doors by cutting them down so much that I could put my hand under the front doors botom. Our back door was not much better. Rather than trim a closet door inside the house they just put the doors back on the hings and left. They reinstalled our dishwasher incorrectly and it leaked water on our new hardwood flooring and then tried to blame us for the damage to the floor from pulling the dishwasher out to fix the leak. They leave the construction garbage behind and refuse to return phone calls. Long story short don't waste your hard earned money on this group thieves. As another reviewer wrote even the installers don't want to work for this group. The son blames the father the father blames the son for missed scheduales and then when then can no longer stone wall you the wife gets involved.\r\rOne star is too generous a rating for this review but its the lowest possible here.

This company has predatory practices and is widely known throughout Hampton Roads being dishonest and unethical. Run like a cheesy used car dealership, the owner is a Portsmouth police officer who operates by using his law enforcement and court connections to intimidate his scam victims to avoid legal action. \r\rEven the installation crews don't want to work for this company. BEWARE!!!

The company quoted me one price to lure me in and then ""accidentally"" sold me another more expensive carpet. They failed to show up for the installation. The second appointment they showed up hours late causing the job to take an extra day.. But, on the second day they claimed they measured wrong (des[ite me providing an architectural drawing of the home signed by the architech) so I would have to wait another two weeks. They left me to walk on carpet tacks and padding during this time and did not even trim it so I could use my back door. When they finally came back to finish the carpet did not match. They promised to give me a 30% refund. It never came. I called again.. they said they were sorry and send it right away,,, they did not,, I called again refuse to answer my calls. I lost several days of work, I'm stuck with carpet that doesn't match, and suffered weeks worth of hassle and pain. This company is a real scam!!!...

this company installed some carpet and was suppose to return the following day to finish the work. They never showed up nor called. Since that day, I have set up 4 more appointments and still no one has showed up. I have called and called and left messages for the owner to call me but I have not heard from him.
