Furthermore, we believe that a smaller dog daycare and boarding facility creates a more intimate environment, where special needs can be met and unique personalities recognized. Dog Days is Amazing. We have been taking our dog Maxie here for 5 years and have never thought about going somewhere else. The staff is knowledgable and caring. The range of services they offer is... the best in town. Maxie gets to do treadmill workouts and field trips when she isn't playing all day with her friends in daycare. The webcams are great and they send me photos of Maxie playing often. Just go visit. You will see what I am talking about.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
My dog got Kennel cough from here. SHe was also vaccinated. I have had at least 20 dogs and they have never contracted kennel cough. Most of them were never vaccinated either. You would think they... would have at least reimbursed me for the stay there. My dog will not go back.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »

Hi Ham. Obviously we never want any dog to catch kennel cough while boarding at Dog Days. This is why we REQUIRE that all dogs be vaccinated with the Bordetella Vaccine. Unfortunately, just like any human vaccine, this is not a guarantee that your dog will not contract Kennel Cough. The best analogy I can give you is this: If you went and got a flu shot before traveling on an airplane, there is still a chance you might catch a cold/flu. There is no way the airline can guarantee you would not get the flu. Please talk to your vet about this so they can explain the risk of Kennel Cough. They will tell you the same thing. If you would like a list of reputable pet sitters that can take care of Sippi at your home, we would be happy to provide that to you. This would be the only way to avoid the risk of Kennel Cough in the future.
I absolutely love this place. I drive quite a distance to get there but its worth it. My dog goes to the daycare each week to keep her social with other dogs and she loves it. I recently boarded her and that went extremely well too. I can tell the staff love my dog and that makes me feel good. They take care of her like she was their own dog. When I pick her up she wants to stay at Dog Days! So reassuring to have found a place where I can take my dog when I'm on vacation and want to relax. Thank you Dog Days.
We were very lucky to find Dog Days three years ago when we moved to Atlanta. To put it simply, our Golden Retriever mix LOVES it. He loves to play with the other dogs and he really loves the friendly and caring staff. Every morning our dog comes ands "asks" if he gets to go play today. If the answer is yes he jumps up and down and wags his tail. When we arrive at Dog Days he jumps out of the car and runs in. I think that is about all the recommendation you need. Your dog will love Dog Days and you will too. Dog Days staff has also been helpful in finding veterinary care, etc in Atlanta. We Love them!
We took our dogs to Dogs Days for several episodes of boarding a couple years ago and decided to switch to another facility. We found it odd that they don't allow you to tour the full facilities and from what we could tell on the webcams, the dogs were kept inside most of the time and while there might have been staff in the pens with them, they didn't interact or play with the dogs, they just cleaned up after them. Definitely not worth the price when compared to other daycare/boarding in the metro area.
Dear Ginger W, We do allow tours of the facility before/after business hours by appointment as our insurance company only allows employees in the playroom due to liability issues. We have webcams to be as transparent as possible. Thank you for noticing the staff keeping the floors clean b/c it would not be a safe environment otherwise. Our pricing is set to make sure DD stays small, safe, and provides the best attention to dogs and customers. Our competitors may take 200-300 dogs and/or not allow play-all-day. We want the best for your dog! It seems strange that you would wait a few years to review our business. I wish you would have mentioned it then as we would love to have kept your business. We wish you and your dogs the best!
Like many canine companions, I am picky about where I leave my dog, so I searched high and low for a place to board our 7-month old rescue. At first Dog Days actually said no to boarding her because she was not old enough and had not had completed her puppy shots. (Luckily, my trip was to postponed.) However, when she was old enough, I contacted them again. I was reluctant to board her, but Dog Days made it easy. Their temperment test was easy and free. They explained how she would be cared for and how she would spend her time there. I reluctantly left her there, and she loved it! She loves playing with the other dogs all day in the open playroom. Now we would take her no place else. When she's at Dog Days, I watch her on camera when I am away, and I have seen the caretakers give her plenty of rubs and kisses while she's there. They are incredibly polite and accomodating. If I have to add a day to her stay, they are happy to do it as long as space is available--which is a smart way to avoid overcrowding. Things are always as they say they will be. Our dog is always excited to go there and once we arrive, she runs in to play without the slightest hesitation. It's not inexpensive by some standards, but it's worth every penny. This place is awesome!
My family just recently moved to Atlanta from South Carolina and we were looking for a place to take out beloved dog meatball. We have visited several facilities in Atlanta and Dog Days is far and away the best. The staff is kind and genuinely interested in my dogs history and needs. I was delighted to hear that they have been in business for 12 years because it tells me that people trust them. They are a little more expensive than some others but Dog Days takes fewer dogs and the dogs actually get to play all day. When I watch the webcams, i can see the staff interacting with the dogs and constantly cleaning. It doesn't even smell like a kennel!!! I highly recommend taking you dog here.
This is the most expensive daycare/boarding in town, but it has the smallest boarding and play area. Owners and employees are extremely rude. Don't waste your time or money here.
I don't typically write reviews but I was left no choice after reading what some of these pessimists had to say about my precious Bear's home away from home. The employees of Dog Days have been providing exceptional service and care to our pooch for over 2 years. He gets so excited just when we mention the name 'Dog Days'. The staff is always friendly and extremely knowledgeable-plus complimentary drinks and treats for us 2-leggers(loves to get my laffy taffy fix on). Bear has so much fun playing with his friends-as confirmed on their doggie web cam. Thanks Dog Days! Bear says Hi!

my dog Bailey absolutely loves going to Dog Days. The staff is so friendly and always know who we are when we come through the door. They really seem to love dogs and love working at this facility. I never worry about my baby when he is boarding or doing daycare because I can watch him on the web cameras. The humans are always playing with the dogs and making sure it is spotless. If you have not tried Dog Days yet you are missing out!
I have boarded my sweet dog Natty at Dog Days many times over the past year. She was there for 9 nights this last time and I had no worries. I knew she was getting lots of love and attention. The staff is wonderful and obviously love dogs! Thank you everyone at Dog Days.
We have been going to Dog Days for many years now. The owners were so kind to our old Black Lab before he passed and we are forever grateful! We now have a new Labradoodle and we use Dog Days for day care and grooming. They are always professional and polite and you can tell they REALLY love the dogs!
I love, love, love Dog Days. My dog Frankie can't wait to see the whole staff whenever I bring him.
I discovered Dog Days about 6 months ago after trying several other local dog daycare facilities, and I feel very lucky to have found them. It is so wonderful to be ablve to feel secure that my precious dog is in a well run and loving atmosphere. I have used dog day care in Boston and Charlotte, as well and Dog Days is by far the best! It is carefully run and the owners are extremely pleasant and helpful. My only worry is that my dog may like being at Dog Days more than being at home with me! I heartedly recommend Dog Days.
I would never board my dog here again. First off I found the owner to be rude and preoccupied secondly my dog was not herself when she returned she was extremely stand offish. I want a loving kennel not a place that is in it for the money and that is how felt after boarding here. I have asked around and found that several people I know that used them for day care have found alternative places because they have to many dogs there at once and their dogs began nipping and having bad behavior after spending time there. I think the key is to be able to really see the space your dog will be spending his time in which they do not allow you to do here. They have many positive reviews yet I would beware its easy to ask friends to write these reviews.
We appreciate you giving Dog Days a try for your dog and appreciate your feedback. I am not sure which owner you are referring to but, if they were preoccupied with another customer or customer's dog, then they certainly would not have been able to give you their undivided attention. Hopefully one of the other highly qualified front desk employees were helpful. As Dog Days is one of the only true "play all day" facilities in Atlanta it is not for every dog and their owner. The dogs are all in large playrooms separated by size and are allowed to play all day - NOT just rotated into the playroom for short play sessions at a time. We feel this gives every customer more than their money's worth. Could your dog have just been tired from the great time she had at Dog Days and not 'stand offish'? We have set the pricing at Dog Days to help ensure that we maintain fewer dogs and give them more attention and care. By most accounts, we are within the national average for dog daycare prices. A dog's bad behavior cannot necessarily be attributed to Dog Days, a dog daycare, a dog park, or someone's house etc., it usually is attributed to the dog's lack of recent exercise and/or work or little structure in it's day-to-day activities. This all depends on the dogs breed and needs. We do allow customers the opportunity to tour our facilities before or after operating hours, which is mandated for insurance and safety purposes. For the customers who cant make time to tour the facilities we do have live streaming web cameras that show everywhere the dogs are playing at all times during the day- there are no secret rooms. You are right about these types of websites, it is easy to ask friends to write reviews. We actually ask all of our friends/customers to please write reviews of Dog Days to help us continue to improve where we can. Unfortunately, people also use these reviews to make personal attacks of business owners, hard working employees and great businesses. As always, we encourage any and all calls with questions or concerns, or by email.
