Dog School 101

Xalina and Sandy are amazing dog trainers. In just one day they helped me to train my dog to come when called! I couldn't be happier! Thank you SO much!

My 5 month old Australian Shepherd, Zephyr, and I have had a great experience at DogSchool 101! We just finished basic obedience and Zephyr has blossomed under Xalina's instruction. We also come for daycare two days a week. While Zephyr was nervous around big dogs initially, the staff has slowly introduced her to different dogs. She has become more confident and feels more safe around new dogs. Thanks, DogSchool!

“We have two rescue dogs that are Border Collie/ Aussie Shepherd mixes. The boys are 7 and 8 respectively and have always had pretty good obedience. They have also had slight issues with resource guarding and are very jealous of any dog or person that comes near my husband or I. Recently these behaviors have escalated resulting in one of our dogs actually biting a guest in our home. We strongly considered rehoming this dog because we also have a 6 month old baby at home and were concerned the guarding behavior had turned to aggression. After a phone consultation with Xalina and just 2 training sessions, we realized that our dogs could easily be refocused and remain a loving and joyful part of our family! Thanks to Xalina, we’ve discovered techniques and tools to minimize the undesirable behaviors and refocus their attention. While we are continuing to work with them, Xalina is “myth busting” the idea that you can’t teach an old dog new tricks!! Our mature dogs have never been better behaved and as dog parents we too have changed how we manage their behavior. Thank you Xalina for helping us keep our family together!!”

This is a review I will love to write. We got Buddy, yellow lab Sept. 2nd, 2010 and he started dog school the 2nd week we had him. We knew nothing about them but was referred by our vet. I made an appt. the second week for Buddy but it was sooner than that when they met him. See I threw my right shoulder blade out and my husband was going to travel and I could not move. I called them 7:30 one morning and they told me to come see them that day. I will not regret it or neither will Buddy. He was taken home by Zandy who just loved him. He was only 10 wks and not even housetrained yet. But since that day we just love everyone there. The two trainers have a different style in ways but they all love the dogs. I am a phobic and had days I would come in and sob thinking because I was older I could not handle Buddy. He was a bundle at 10 weeks. They encouraged and help train me to Buddy. He has two diploma's and working on #3. He has so many dog friends that as soon as they see him they all run to the gates. The monitors help show you the fun they have during day care. It would be hard and I could not take him anywhere else with all the love he gets there if it is only once a week and 5 days a week, or classes.

Dog School 101 is an amazing place to take your dog to not only learn to obey commands, but it will also help your pet to abandon bad habits. The staff at dog school 101 was so helpful in training our dog, but also helped to train the humans so that we would have a happy, well trained dog. They love and care for the dogs here so much and truly love their jobs. They were able to teach us how to manage our very energetic 4.5 yr old lab mix. We could not believe the difference in our dog after the sessions she had at Dog School 101. I am so thankful for Dog School 101-this place is absolutely amazing!
