My husband and I have been taking our Golden Retriever puppy, Belle, to DogSchool 101 since she was 12 weeks old, she is now 18 weeks. She loves going to daycare once a week to play with friends and see everyone who works there. She just finished Beginner Obedience training with Xalina, and has grown a lot with just this training class. Xalina always has wonderful things to say about Belle everytime we pick her up and offers suggestions if there is ever an issue. Everyone who works there shows love and caring towards Belle whenever she is there, we can't imagine taking her anywhere else for training, daycare and boarding. We were nervous leaving her for a few days while out of town, but the report we got when we picked her up about how much she played and was loved on in our absence really made the worries go away. DogSchool 101 is a wonderful place and has really become part of our family!

What a surprise this class was for my eight-year old Cocker Spaniel and also for me! I never thought that Cocoa would be able to learn to hunt, but Xalina proved me wrong! By the second class, Cocoa was hunting and finding the "rabbit" on command. This class is excellent because it allows the dogs to do what they should do naturally: hunt! The thing that I really appreciate about Xalina and Sandy is how they bring the best out in your dog. They work to build your confidence along with your dog's. I have been a part of their classes since Cocoa was very small, and I just can't say enough good things about these two trainers! If you are looking for knowledgeable and caring trainers, you have found them at Dog School 101.

Parker James is our miracle baby. At just a day old, he was tossed from a car when a human decided they had no need for him. Fortunately a police officer witnessed the whole incident and stopped to save the puppy. The police officer turned PJ over to the rescue and we were able to adopt him two months later. He has always been VERY sound sensitive and extremely fearful of every sound and fast movement. Most dogs will tuck their tail only when something scares them, but our family celebrates ANY time we see PJ's tail NOT tucked (which had only been seen a handful of times since we adopted him over a year ago). Sandy and Xalina take his special circumstances into account and understand that our main goal is to prove to PJ that the world is not all bad. With the training at Dog School 101 and the loving guidance of Sandy and Xalina, PJ is finally learning to cope with loud sounds and fast movements. The fact that they know Parker James so well that they celebrate his happy tail just like we do, is just more proof of the vested interest that they have in PJ's success!

My wife and I have been taking our 11-month-old dog to Dog School 101 for obedience school, day care, and boarding for around three months now. The people who work there are all very knowledgeable and accommodating, and care deeply about the animals. The dogs get a lot of exercise, socialization, and personal attention during day care, and we've seen amazing improvements in our dog's behavior since we enrolled him in obedience school. I would recommend Dog School 101 wholeheartedly.

My husband and I brought home our first puppy a couple of months ago. He is very sweet but we needed some help correcting his bad puppy behaviors (pulling on the leash etc.) I knew that we needed some training help from a professional but didn't want to spend a fortune. I read some positive reviews about Dog School 101 and after talking to Sandy I knew it was a good fit for us so I signed up for her beginner obedience class. Sandy worked with me to find the right training collar for my puppy which made training and walks much more enjoyable. She provided great instruction in class and was always willing to give advice. We look forward to taking more classes at Dog School 101.

A private dog training session with Xalina is invaluable. Our 6 month puppy from a rescue shelter was a handful and I was anxious about his adjustment into our family with 2 elementary age boys. The boys came along with us to our training session and Xalina was wonderful at teaching the boys games to play with puppy that helped his training. She helped me get a handle on some of his over-the-top puppy behaviors. I left confident and with lots of skills and a much calmer and more behaved puppy. And the kids and puppy were happily tired!! Xalina's demeanor is joyful, patient, and kind and I wholeheartedly recommend her and Dog School 101.

thanks heavens above for Dog School 101. I am eternally indebted to them for loving and caring for my babies when I could not. Their love, expertise and kindness helped me relocate my beloved babies with minimal anxiety from the USA to the UK. I wish I could put Dog School 101 in my pocket and have them here with me. We love you 101. Wet nosed kisses from Sophie and Sherman.

I have been a client with dog school for two years and I couldn't ask for a better group of people to take care of my dog when I cant. I use the dog day care and it is the best thing! They treat my dog like their own. I also went to puppy training and it made a huge difference in my labs behavior. Sandy and Xalina are very knowledgeable and I am always learning something about my dog. In my opinion Dog School 101 is THE BEST!

Sandy is amazing! My husband and I have two dogs, a 7 mo old shepherd mix who just went through the beginner obedience class at Dogs School 101 and a 7 year old Aussie shepherd mix who had never spent the night in a strange place. We had concerns about how our Aussie mix would do as she was definitely shy and nervous the day we dropped her off, but when we went to pick them up both dogs came back happy and excited and ready to go back! I can't thank Sandy and the staff enough! Sandy was so patient with us and our concerns regarding our older dog. She even called to give us an update on how she was doing the first night there. If you are looking for a place to board your dog/s where a staff member actually stays overnight with them because they care so much, Dog School 101 is it!

My Springer Spaniel puppy Georgia and I enrolled in the puppy obedience class with Sandy. She is a very attentive teacher and hands-on with each dog in the class. Her class is NOT about "shake" or "roll over." This class teaches you the foundation of raising an obedient dog, which is the PERFECT base for any other training you choose. Sandy and Xalina are experts in all things dog related. Xalina helped me find the right "school clothes" for Georgia, and stayed a little late to teach me why it was the best option for Georgia and how to correctly put the collar on her. Sandy is better than Google when the class had questions about training, food, behavior, toys - ANYTHING! They also don't recommend any products that they don't believe in and use themselves. I can't brag on Sandy or this business enough. She is so upbeat, the class is hilarious, and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. I'm in my early twenties so the price of this class (or any class in the area) made me toy with the idea of using "Puppy Training for Dummies." I'm sure the book is fine, but the face-to-face classes were priceless. I would still recommend this class if they doubled the price, because it would be worth the money. If you're on the edge, I sure hope you fall to the Dog School 101 side.

We have been boarding our dog here while we go out of town and they have done a fantastic job! They actually exceeded my expectations. Fergie also enjoys Doggie Day Care during the day and has made some sweet friends. The staff really knows their stuff! They have a genuine love for dogs and you will feel it the second you walk in that door. I trust them fully and am completely at ease knowing our sweet puppy is in good hands. An added bonus is that their place is super clean and they have cute decor. :) Thanks for being so awesome! Can't wait to see you soon! The Moon Family

My Aussie Shepherd-Mix has been attending day school for about 3 years now and is still happily excited whenever I ask her if it's 'a Dog School Day?' She recently had to have a surgical procedure and the folks there provided wonderful recovery care, setting up a private space where she could see her friends but not be over exerted. They administered meds on schedule, cleaned her incision - all the things that needed to be done just as I would have. The wonderful, loving treatment allows me to go to work and not worry about this active young dog being pent up in the house all day. We have also taken obedience and agility courses. The teachers are great - patient, clear, and very experienced. I don't know if Marley or I enjoyed the training experience more. I do know we enjoy our walks and play more since the lessons. Marley gets so excited as we approach school in the morning, she actually sings! She's happy, and I couldn't feel better about where my beloved pet is spending her days.

A few months ago I took the Noseworks class with Xalina. My dog was still young at 9 months old so I wanted to do something fun with him. Well this class was great. You will learn the introductory tenets of search and rescue work and the amazing power of a dog's nose. It taught my husband and I how to work with our dog in a way that harnesses his natural skills and it was amazing to see our Zeusie go to work using his "sniffer" to seek and find the "rabbit" (a kong with a few treats inside). It truly is like a switch gets turned on and he goes into work mode. We now have a new way to engage our pup's brain and body and it really bonded us even more. We play the "find the rabbit" game at home and in the back yard and we can't find a place to hide it anymore that our boy can't find it! The coolest part is watching him ignore distractions and being so focused on finding it. The class only had two regular attendees so it felt like a private class with very individualized attention which was wonderful. The class reminded us of what amazing creatures dogs really are. Thanks to Xalina for such a fun class. We learned so much. If you haven't tried this class before, definitely give it a try. You will see your dog in a whole new way!

We rescued our dog, Sophie, 12 weeks ago from the Homeless Pet Foundation. She is a very sweet dog but very active. She needed a little training in her life. Dog 101 was a wonderful experience. The staff taught me about dog psychology and how dogs learn. Sophie quickly mastered basic commands and I couldn't have been more please. Sandy and Xalina were wonderful to work with.

We were having some problems with our standard poodle Charlie which we didn't know how to handle. Dog school 101 was recommended by someone at the dog park. We decided to try the obedience class and with Xalina and Sandy's help Charlie is dong a lot better. I now take him there for day care and when I pick him up he doesn't want to come home. That's a great sign. Thank you Xalina & Sandy Luz & Harold Pontious
