Animals Deserve Better is an animal rescue in Marietta and I highly recommend to all my new families that they go to Dog School 101. I include their information on my web site and in my adoption packets and is the only Dog School I recommend. This is where we all learn to become a family. Eveyone at Dog School 101 is friendly, compassionate, understanding and they provide the best training for puppy and new family. All training stages beginner to Canine Good Citizen. Posative training for all ages and personalities, because all dogs are different. I just love the day school as it really helps the pups socialize with others and helps in their development. Adult and teenage dogs love the play and of course you can rely on the fact that all the dogs are well behaved they are also monitored and its compeltely safe and yes i have my dogs go there and infact one just passed his Canine Good Citizen. Thank you Dog School 101 you guys are great.

The people at Dog School 101 are really kind, patient, and knowledge about dogs. I have a Jack Russell Terrier Mix who was uncontrollably wild and hyper all the time, and after attending the Obedience Class she has drastically become more obedient, she comes when I call, sits, stays, heels and sits before wanting to go outside. Walking her outside is no longer a challenging tug of war but pleasant! I would highly recommend Dog School 101 and I plan on sending my dog to more of their services, such as their daycare. I am confident that if my dog learned from them, then so can any dog!

Cesar Milan would give these dog lovers and trainers a 10!!! My dog is loved, cherished, trained and cared for like he was their own. We started off with basic training and now we are weekly doggie daycare clients. If you have a dog, he or she needs to visit Dog School 101! You'll get a better behaved and nicely tired four legged friend! Happy dog means happy home! (Dorelly Herford, Buford's mom)

Sandy and Xalina are wonderful and my dog responded to their teaching methods so well! Our class ranged from 4 months- 3 years and each dog improved tenfold. After taking the obedience class, my puppy is well socialized and very obedient. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Xalina and Sandy are topnotch dog trainers who care about training and dog and dog owner together to make for a happy and healthy relationship and great communication. I have gone to them with Jonah, Bella, Raja, Micah and Snow White. For each of these dogs, they have helped me understand what makes the dog tick and how to get the relationship I want with my dog. Absolutely the best! Chantal Gourlay

...you will be completely amazed when you meet Sandy and Xalina at DogSchool 101!! Regardless of size/breed, proper obedience training under the direction of professional trainer is a MUST, and you will find no better trainers in Atlanta than Sandy and Xalina. Not only do they have years of experience, but Sandy and Xalina have this incredible ability to zero in on the needs/issues of each dog they work with; I've never seen anything like it! My six year old German Shepherd was trained at DogSchool 101, and my new Cavapoo puppy starts class in August! Nancy, Connor, Phantom, and Prissy (the baby)

Sandy, Xalina and the staff at Dog School 101 are the dog whisperers. They not only are dedicated to the education and the well being of the dogs but also their human handlers. They know each and every one of the dogs under their care, their temperament, their needs, their particulars... In addition they also train the human partners how to properly handle their dogs resulting in a close bond between human and animal during training. Mike, my shepherd, the third dog being trained at Dog School 101, graduated from the basic obedience class in June, the Canine Good Citizen Program in September will prepare to take the Therapy Dog Test. With the continuous nurture of Sandy and Xalina, Mike is on his way to become a dedicated therapy dog, living a meaningful live of calming and soothing the patients at the hospitals, the residents at the Nursing homes and the Assisted Living facilities. Thank you Sandy and Xalina for helping us reach our dream.

Sandy and Xalina are America's greatest dog trainers! They have helped my Boxer/Pitbull mix Harley over come so many opticals! He had no confidenced at all what so ever and taking him to Beginner Obiedence and moving up to the Canine Good Citizen has helped him so much! First day of dog school he was shaking and scared! Sandy and Xalina have boosted his confidence so much by taking one on one time with him. They also recommended him for doggy day care. Lets just say he wasn't the chicken after all! That night I picked him up he was happy as can be! Since then everytime we go to Dog School 101 he drags me to the front door ,because he is so excited! Harley recieved a new adpoted brother March 2012 his name is Jagger and he is also a boxer! We took him to beginner obedience not knowing anything and scared to death to go in there. Sandy and Xalina worked with him after class for almost an hour trying to help him with his laying down command. He never understood. After staying after class for an hour he had it down pat. We call it the electric slide down. He throws his feet out when he goes down. Dog school is not only for training your dog they also train you!! I highly recommend Dog School 101, they can tackle any dog!! They are the next Cesar Millian except female Cesar Millan!!! Thank you Sandy and Xalina for everything ya'll have done for Jagger, Harley and myself!! We greatly appreciate everything!! Love, Amber,Harley,Hayden, and Jagger

I haven't enough words to describe how wonderful this place is. The staff is fantastic and truly knowledgeable; their attitude is entirely positive and I haven't seen a dog go in yet that hasn't come out better, happier, and more well-behaved. When I came to them, I was just starting on the road to train my own service dog, but hadn't the first clue how to achieve such a lofty goal. They were not only willing to work with me on this, but went out of their way to make sure I (and he) knew what we needed and how to get there. Two months later, we've graduated basic obedience together and are working towards the Canine Good Citizen course; I'd recommend this school to anyone with a dog, no matter what it is they hope to work on.

My dog Sampson has been at the Dog School now for about a year and he has now passed the Canine Good Citizen class, is a registered Therapy Dog with the Delta Society and is currently a READing Paws dog. With the help of Sandy & Xalina both Sampson and I have achieved goals that I thought were never going to happen for us. I encourage anyone that needs help with their dogs to give them a call. It is well worth all the time and effort! Sampson is proof! Thanks Dog School

Dog School 101 is a fantastic place! The trainers and handlers are incredibly knowledgeable and have lots of experience. I learned so much from the classes and really saw a huge change in my dog, Sadie by the end of our 6 week basic obedience class. I have also used the Day School and am very pleased with their handling of the dogs. Sadie loves playing with all the other dogs. They truly love the dogs they work with and it shows! In the Fall, I am planning on enrolling in the Nose Works class. I highly recommend Dog School 101!!

We loved our Dog School 101 trainer Xalina! She was very knowledgeable and clearly has a special gift with dogs. My boxer puppy and I have taken 2 classes with her, Basic Obedience and Nose Works, and they were excellent. Xalina has a great skill in recognizing and optimizing individual dogs' talents. Every dog feels like the "star" of the class (and so do the owners!). She is patient and kind to all. I am looking forward to the fall for the next course at Dog School 101 and would recommend it highly to anyone.

We rescued a Pom and did not realize the issues we were facing. After several months we went to school at Dog School 101. First class our Mikey would not participate the last class he won the sitting contest. He was our star. The support and patience of the staff led us to becoming one happy family. My goal is for Mikey and I to become a pet therapy team which is very aggressive as he did not meet new people or dogs very well. We went back to Dog School 101 and became Canine Good Citizens. His first class he tried to bite our teacher Sandy, by the last class he was huddled in her jacket and was walking with German Shepards! It is amazing what changes will come with the right guidance and support which the staff at Dog School 101 gives. Now Mikey has a brother, another rescue and they are having a ball playing with each other. Would not have been possible 8 weeks ago. We will be back to school for agility training in the spring.

We adopted a puppy from the humane society and his nipping, jumping and destructive behaviors had us wondering if we could keep him. After his first day at Puppy Manners Camp, he was a changed pup! We learned how to communicate with him and give him what he needs to be healthy and happy- and that makes us healthier and happier. He still has puppy moments, but we know how to handle them. I have and will continue to recommend Dog School 101!
