Todd Slepakoff - highly recommended trainer!, 9/03/2013

My boyfriend and I adopted a pit bull mix rescue dog who developed aggression problems around age one. By the time we called Todd, our dog had snapped at or bitten several people and one dog. We... couldn't have people over; our dog couldn't attend doggie daycare anymore. He was getting exercise, love, healthy food, and a safer home life than he'd ever had before. But none of that was fixing these problems so we contacted Dog Training in Your Home. It is a fairly expensive service, but that's because it is a life-saving service for many of us - especially if it's the last resort to create a healthy and stable life for yourself and your dog. We don't have much money, but Todd worked with us to figure out a reasonable payment, was flexible with scheduling, and in the end gave us more options and strategies than we ever would have had otherwise. We have a lot of work to do. Nobody can come in and "fix" your dog for you without effort (and time and money) on your part. But after our very last session today, we are so hopeful about the road ahead and grateful for Todd and all the others who have devoted their lives to making ours better, safer, and happier.

Beware of Dog Training in Your Home, 7/28/2012

We hired the dog trainers called Dog Training In Your Home (in South Carolina) to train our rescued 4 year old Beagle which had aggression tendencies. They advised that it would be no problem,... however after 3 sessions the aggression was markedly worse and in fact the dog bit me. It seemed that the training methods were worsening the situation and so decided to stop the training. We asked for a refund of the unused portion but were told that no refunds were given. This was a costly program at around $900.00 for the complete course.
