I am still waiting for Kudz to fix my account so I can log in so I am writing a review to respond. I am sorry for your experience, but I beg to differ. I discussed your dog's groom with you and I gave you a refund because you said you were not satisfied. When you entered our shop, you told us that you have been unhappy with the last few grooming shops you have taken him to so you were giving us a try. I am very surprised you are bringing up things that you did not mention to me on the phone 2 days after his groom. Your black standard poodle did not have clipper burns all over his body. He had a lot of matting which you pointed out when you dropped him off. To get the mats off the skin, you must shave close. It is unpleasant for the animal because the skin gets pulled into the mat and it hurts. He was matted all thru his underside, armpits, in between his pads, toes, the back of his feet, head, ears, neck, etc.. You mentioned he was well overdue for a groom. You also told me he had been licking his lips a lot in a strange way for 2 weeks and to look inside of his mouth. I checked the inside of his mouth, with my fingers to make sure he did not have hair wrapped around one of his teeth. We did not touch his lips except to confirm there was not hair in his mouth. You should have taken your dog to the vet prior to coming to our shop to have your dog treated. It is appalling that you choose to blame us instead of taking responsibility for your actions and the care of your dog.

If you have a pet that gets groomed you must be informed of Dog Wash Cafe at 12850 hwy 9, Alpharetta, GA 30004 ANIMAL ABUSE, DO NOT GO HERE!!! My standard poodle has been going to a groomer for over a year and he always has a positive experience and receives a good pawgress report. I decided to try a new groomer, this place. When I walked in, my sweet baby was whining so loud. I thought maybe it was because he saw me. The next 2 days he was acting so traumatized and not himself at all. I called the place and asked them if something happened to him, like if he got cut. The lady that answered told me no and that they would have to inform the owner of any such thing. I examined my baby later that night and he had clipper burns ALL OVER HIS BODY!! His mouth was extremely inflamed and red. He had two places where they knicked him so bad that they literally took a chunk of skin out. Do not take your dog here!!!!

I'm not understanding all of the negative comments about Dog Wash Cafe. Both locations are amazing. If I can't get squeezed in on one location I'm always fit in on the other location. Both Alpharetta and Crabapple locations have the nicest most wonderful staff I've ever dealt with. Dog wash cafe is a great place to bring your dog to for grooming or just a wash. Thanks dog wash keep up the good work, Y'all guys are fantastic.

I had called this place b/c it was so close to my house. The lady who helped me on the phone was extremely professional and addressed all of my concerns. That evening I read the reviews about injuring dogs and became petrified. I decided to go on the fact that the place seemed professional, knowledgeable and caring and the fact that some reviews were positive. I knew I would be taking a risk. I arrived the next day and was greeted by the owner. They even helped me out of the car b/c my dog is 100 lbs and I had my 3 year old in tow. My dog has been know to be aggressive towards the vet and technicians and I therefore have never had my dog groomed. However, I was sooo sick of the hair I couldn't stand it anymore. I spent 30 minutes with the owner, groomer, and tech while Wilson was being washed. They reassured me with my concerns and answered all of my questions. They helped me make the decision between just getting him furminated vs. completely shaved-neither which he has ever had done. They knew I was nervous b/c I told them of the negative reviews I had read and because Wilson is aggressive. They called me after the bath to let me know that he was resting before his shave and he was doing fabulous! I thought,"Is this the same dog?" It was so kind of them to give me an update. They called later to tell me he was ready. What was my 100lb lab mix gonna look like? He looked wonderful! I was so impressed with this place and it was a great first experience for us!!!

My neighbor told me about Dog Wash Cafe and how much better it is since the ownership changed last year. The place is clean and they have 2 really good groomers, Samantha and Cathy. They have both groomed my dog and I cannot decide which one I like better. My dog is happy when I pick her up and she gets to play with other dogs while she is there. I am so glad my neighbor told me to try Dog Wash Cafe. I am now telling all of my friends about this great grooming shop.

I've used Karen for years and she is fantastic. Everyone is great and friendly and the service is fantastic. I love that its clean and doesn't look the standard sad looking pet grooming place! My dog Mello LOVES her!

I took my dog in for a groom and was thrilled with the job they did, I will be a customer forever. The staff & female owner did everything possible to make me feel at home. The groomer grooms out on the floor so you can see how she handles the animals. Karen the groomer was extremely nice and groomed my dog exactly like I asked. She was still in the shop when I picked up Jake just before closing. She wanted to make sure the groom was to my liking before my baby left the shop. I will be telling all of my friends about Dog Wash Cafe.

I take My Yorkie (or shall I say use to take her)to Dog Wash Cafe. Heather was the best groomer I have ever had. Unfortunately Heather moved out of state. Last time I took my girl in for a grooming, she came home and her pads and nail were not cut as requested. What was cut was her EAR. Im not talking a little nick, but a chunk out of her ear. They did not tell us of the accident or return our call until I got the owner involved. The girl who cut her ear is Samanta.

GROOMING SHOP OWNERS BEWARE! This woman is a nut case. Her name is Traci Strubs. She claims we 'took a chunk out of her dog's ear'. The hair had grown back a 1/4 inch and there was no scab when she came in 5 DAYS LATER claiming we cut the ear. Then she tried to physically attack Samantha and I had to jump between them before my 4' 9" 20 yr old groomer got hurt. She has left threatening messages on my cell phone requesting $1500 or she would slander my company across the internet. I believe you call that blackmail. It really makes one wonder why she has her dog groomed in Alpharetta when she lives in Canton. She has probably pulled this scam in Canton. We reported her aggressive behavior against my groomer to the Alpharetta Police Department. The Alpharetta police informed us that if she enters either of my shops she will be arrested.
In a last-minute pinch, I used the Dog Wash Café because it offers flea washes, and is close to my home. However, when Monica finished treating Precious and Lilly for fleas - plus a comprehensive groom - they looked GREAT!! Many factors impressed me about the Dog Wash Café, including how genuinely kind everyone is, the fact that they don't use cages to store pre and post groomed dogs (they have several little play spaces instead), and they seem to care more about the quality - rather than quantity - of their work.
