I cannot begin to say how happy I was with Don's Tree Service. I had a huge oak tree removed because of age and disease and all my dogwoods pruned. Donnie and Morgan were just delightful to work with. Their crew did everything I wanted exactly as I wanted it done. They were extremely pleasant doing it, and the price was great! I heartily recommend Don's Tree Service to anyone!

Don's Tree Service has helped maintain the mature oaks surrounding my house for several years now so I don't have to cut them down and preserve the shade canopy for summer. Always great service at a great price and in these tough times, they work with you on terms that fit your budget.

I had five trees (four pines and one oak) that I have been wanting to have removed for years. I asked three companies for quotes, and Don's Tree Service had the best price. In two days they had removed the trees and roots, cleaned up both the yard and the roof, gave my neighbors the mulch, and pruned other trees in my yard. I was surprised to see the negative reviews, because I am very pleased with the work they did for me. A neighbor and a co-worker are now using them for their own projects!

I normally don't post testimonials; but during this challenging economy I believe that it is important to recognize excellent customer service. Don's Tree Service did a fantastic job removing a huge tree and stump from my backyard. Their estimator, Jason, was extremely professional and presented me with a competitive written estimate, proof of insurance and business certification. Jason did a great job scheduling a crew to accommodate my busy calendar. This morning, Morgan and his crew met me at promptly 7:30 ready to start work. He meticulously removed the top branches of my tree, while his crew loaded the debris into their truck. Morgan and his crew were courteous, extremely quick and efficient. I highly recommend this company to everyone who believes in quality of service and wants the peace of mind that the job will be done safely and efficiently.

Last week was a bit scary for our family. There was a huge pine tree over 100 feet high looming over our roof and it was about to fall on the house. The pine was cracking and all I could think about was my house caving into when that tree hit. I called several tree services in the area trying to get someone out to do an emergency tree removal but no one had a crew available. I remembered seeing Don's ad next to highway 20 going into Conyers, GA so I made the call 770-413-tree. It was the best call I've ever made. I left a voicemail and Donnie called me back within a few minutes. I frantically explained the situation and she calmly told me not to worry and that she would be right there to take care of the situation. Although they were extremely busy with scheduled jobs and it was her husband Morgan's day off, they arrived promptly. They had this awesome truck that rose up and extended the equipment over our house which was over a 110 feet! All I can say is WOW!!!!! Morgan and the crew removed the tree, saved our house and did a fantastic job! Morgan and Donnie, we cannot thank you enough! Your response to our need was PRICELESS and we will highly recommend you to all of our colleges, friends and family!! If you need tree removal and want a personable and professional service don't hesitate to call Don's Tree Service!

The experience started out great with Donni coming out for the quote. She worked with me and my budget to take down an 85 foot oak that was in the middle of dying. Morgan headed up the tree remval crew of six. He was wonderful and took the time to explain to me the process as it was happening. The ground crew made quick work of clean up. At our request, then even cut some sections of the trunk to specified measurements so we can carve some tables and chairs out of our old tree. They also cut us a stack of fire wood ... no extra charge. It was sad to see the tree come down, but I was glad it was Don's Tree Service that did it. I highly recommend this fully insured and bonded service.

i won't go into the gory details, but the job took more than twice the time quoted, their crane got repossessed right in front of me, the owner pulled the crew in the middle of the job to work elsewhere on a new job... internal finger pointing was bothersome. excuses got tiresome. "had to pull the crew because of an emergency somewhere else..." "didn't so-and-so call you and tell you the new game plan?" "so-and-so said he'd take care of it..." the first and third crews were great. very hard working. i sincerely question the owners professionalism. i was asked to pay money at the end of two days (which i did). the next day the crew was working somewhere else with 25 pine trees laying in my back yard and a huge pile of debris in my cul de sac. another crew stepped in and walked away. a third crew came and finished the job. there are other tree services. look elsewhere. and don't pay anything until the job is done.

Don's Tree Service left my property in shambles after removing a tree from my front yard. When I tried to get them to rectify the situation, they simply did not return my calls. It ended up costing me additional money to have someone else to finish the job that they were paid to do. Had I done my home work, I would have found out that they have several cases filed against them with the Better Business Bureau as well as several judgements levied against them in Dekalb County. I also found other postings on a site call called Ripoff.com which give other instances of people being ripped off by this company. I don't know how they have been allowed to continue doing business in the state of Georgia. Stay away from them.

I usually do not respond to negativity but in this case I felt it necessary to respond. We care very much about customer service and we strive to do our best, especially since we have a specific division of our company that is focused on serving the underserved. Our company has grown from 0 to over 4000 customers in a very short period of time because of great customer service. During that time we may have "dropped the ball" a few times."However any time this has happened we use it as a learning lesson to do better in the future. In this case it was made abundantly clear that we are a tree service not a garbage collection company and that we do not and have never taken trash, cinder blocks or bricks away. We explained on several occassions that we do not dispose of bricks or consumer trash. We are a tree care company. There reason we have been able to stay in business for so long is because we have thousands of satisfied customers. Yes, we can always improve and we are always looking for ways to better serve our community. We are very thankful and feel extemely blessed to have lasted 10 years in a very competitive industry. We have weathered many ups and downs and yet we are still here and that is because our customers believe in us and continue to refer us on a daily basis. I apologize that we dont always get it right but I am proud of the fact that we do our best to make improvements where necessary. The funny thing about this posting is that we recieved a letter in the mail today from a customer stating that we were the best tree care company she had ever seen and that she will be refering us to all of her friends. The great thing about this post is that it does inspire me to work harder and to be thankful for the thousands of customers that are happy with our service. I wish you many blessing.
A tree from my neighbor's yard fell on to my property & Don's Tree Service was recommended to me by a friend. I was very pleased with the estimate, since I got 2 other estimates and one would only cut and put the tree at the curb. Don's tree service not only cut the tree up but hauled the tree away and cleaned the area up. If my fence wasn't damaged I wouldn't have known a huge tree fell on my driveway. Their work was excellent.

A large oak tree fell during recent flooding on both our neighbor's house and our own home. Our neighbor called Don's Tree service and by 2 a.m., they had come out and put tarps up to cover holes in the roof. They were at our home at 9a.m. with a crane and a large crew and worked more than 13 hours to remove the tree from our home and our neighbor's home. They were professional, courteous, and their rates were lower than some non-emergency tree removal we had recently paid for. They stuck to their original estimate even though it took slightly longer than originally anticipated. Because of their hard work, by the end of the first day after the tree hit our home, they had completely removed the tree from our house. We were soon able to move back in. -Impressed in Decatur

Great quote but a 50% deposit for a 2 hour job with no prepurchased supplies. When we questioned it they used EXTREMELY HIGH PRESSURE tactics on us. FIRST WARNING TO GO ELSEWHERE! Couldn't get insurance confirmation. SECOND WARNING! First appt missed without a call and my calls were ignored. I took off work for it and got no apology. THIRD WARNING TO RUN FROM THEM! Second appt was missed. Talked with Donnie and she assured me personally that they'd show. Stood up again. Ok, I was trying to save some money by hiring them but instead I FELT LIKE A COMPLETE IDIOT FOR HIRING THEM! Then some lady called offering a discount on the price if I'd hire them (they didn't even know we were already scheduled). I thought it must be a hidden camera show because, honestly, who runs their company like this? They stopped returning my calls. At that point I quit trying and paid $150 more to get a reputable company to show. I agree with a previous poster: There are extremely serious professionalism issues here. DO NOT give them any cash up front! If you hire them, use a credit card so you can get a chargeback if you need it. Sad thing is we got them as a referral and now all our friends won't use them either. On the upside, it's made a great story over drinks...and Don's Tree Service will drive you to drink.

My name is Mrs. M. I used Don's Tree Service recently for cutting down tree and removing tree from property. Don's Tree Service did an excellent job and removed all tree debree. Upon seeing this, one of my neighbors requested Don's Tree Service to stop by their house as soon as they finished with mine. My neighbor requested their service right then. Don's Tree Service, I am sure tired from cutting down the large tree for me, immediately went to my neighbor's house and cut down her tree and removed debree. My neighbor is named Mrs. C. of Decatur Ga. She was very pleased with their Excellent Service and being a Company of Great Integrity!

Crew never shows up when scheduled. Have to call and call to get results. Will remove the trees at the expense of your yard being torn up. Also, unethical business practices that I wont even bother to post. They will remove your trees, but my experience was not all that great. Go with them at your own risk.

Don's Tree Service strives to recycle when possible. Large logs are milled. Firewood is made from the wood to small to mill and to big to chip. Chips are used for landscaping, winter bedding, weed control, and county paths. Small trees are made into posts. Everything left is composted and reused where needed.
