Very pleasant people, 7/15/2013

After dinner on our anniversary, my husband surprised me to go “look” at the new Quests. Wow! Kevin, Brian, and Joe were very pleasant and made this a very special day!! Kevin was very sweet and... answered all my questions, and I am in shock that my husband bought me a van. Wow! Did I say wow? I am so happy with my new van from a great place.

Bait and Switch tactics used here, 7/29/2008

I made a deal, drove off with a new car, insured it, even drove it to Phoenix, then after two weeks, I was called back to the dealership, because they realized they did not make any money on the deal... and wanted more money down. I refused and gave the car back and was returned my trade. I believe that they were trying to bait me by letting me drive the new car around, and then calling me back to try to squeeze more money out of me. I received a similar deal at another dealership with no problems and no money down. Douglas Nissan has terrible customer service policies, and they completely wasted my time and played games with me. I would not recommend their dealership to ANYONE.

Nissan Lemons

This is to warn people not to buy a Nissan Quest or other Nissan product. The brakes are faulty and need to be replaced every 12000 miles and Nissan will not cover the replacement.

Not a great place, overall

I have had negative service experiences at this dealer. Twice I have taken my truck in for service and twice they didn't bother to call and tell me my vehicle was ready. This can be annoying if it's ten minutes before closing on a Saturday and you need a vehicle to get to work on Monday. Twice I asked for a car wash during service and twice they 'forgot'. About 1000 miles before my warranty ran out, I had requested my malfunctioning radio to be replaced. They didn't bother to order the radio, my warranty ran out, so now I'm stuck with a malfunctioning stock radio. I've crossed this dealer off my list for service; it's nothing like when the Towbin's ran it.

"You could have fooled me"

My experience with Douglas Nissan was bitter sweet.I bought a great car from them. They worked very hard to get a car in my price range. But once I had to get my car serviced, one of the service managers quoted me one price so I paid it.I tought it was high so I called back to inquire about the labor on the part I had to replace and was quoted a lower amount. Yes I was very displeased.

Not up to par in my opinion..

I bought a new Nissan Quest in April 2006. There were mechanical issues, as well as scratches & some chips in the paint. All were noted on the "Due Bill" of services to be performed. When I got home I noticed none of the interior lighting worked. I took the car back in a week or two later to get these items fixed. I was told that all of these scratches on the car couldn't have been there when I bought it. I had to go to the sales floor to get my sales person Joey to verify to the svc dept that everything wrong w/ my car was wrong when I bought it. Then I was told that they didn't know what was wrong w/ the car lighting so I'd have to leave it. This was not ok to me. I got 2 rental cars on 2 separate occasions to get things fixed. I'm still have problems w/ my LCD screen blacking out randomly. Their service writer Dan saw this happen when I took my car in for an oil change in June. However they didn’t have time to fix it that day. I took it back later & was told they couldn't replicate the problem they couldn't do anything for me. I understand& that, but at the same time it's frustrating that so many things are going wrong w/ this new car. I even wrote a letter to the Owner & every service evaluation call I got I would tell people of the problems but no one seems to care.

They don't care about you once they get your $$$

My experience was like most dealerships in this town, an exhausting and frustrating experience. When I arrived I explained to them my car buying experiences/expertise, outstanding credit rating, etc. I always do this just so they don’t try to rip me off to bad. They gave me the normal sales talk about getting me the “absolute best deal they could.” When it was all said and done I probably didn’t make out any better than anyone else. After the purchase my follow-up experiences were horrendous. 1) The car had dealer installed tinted windows. One of the windows was scratched so I had to drop it off for an entire day; they then had to drive it all the way across town, wasting my time, miles on the car and my gas. By the way the windows turned purple after two years, what cheap material. 2) My gas gauge needle was not calibrated correctly so I had to drop it off, once again. They attempted to repair it, well two days later my car stopped dead so I had it towed back to them; they said they had shorted out the gas pump. Every time I called there to complain about all of this nobody would return my calls. When I did talk to my sales rep and the manager they didn’t act like they gave a hoot. Bottom-line, I have never been back and never will, I think their customer service sucks.
