Aside from myself, Dr Yurfest has treated three of my four children, my husband, and my sister over the past years. His office staff is extremely personable and timely. His positive and upbeat attitude is outstanding especially in working with children. Lastly, his work is fantastic - we all have beautiful teeth thanks to him.

I was over 30 when decided to correct my smile. I went to the best specialists in town and was told that I needed jaw surgery and tooth extractions. Dr. Yurfest was able to use orthodontic appliances to expand my jaw and braces to straighten all the crowded teeth. The result is amazing. I am not afraid to smile anymore. In addition to his superior knowledge, skills, and experience, Dr. Yurfest has a very warm and uplifting personality, and a great sense of humor. Every visit to the office was a joy; Dr. Yurfest and his staff made me feel like I was a part of the family. I always left the office in a good mood. I referred numerous friends and children to this office, and they all were very pleased with the results of their treatment. Some cases were extremely complex and required the most sophisticated techniques and years of treatment. I highly recommend Dr. Yurfest and his wonderful, friendly staff for all your orthodontic needs. No job is too small or too big for Dr. Yurfest.

My two children, their step-mom, step-brother, and I all went to Dr. Yurfest. I can't tell you enough about what a great job he did for ALL of us! Almost every visit I hear him explaining to people that if they eat the wrong foods their brackets will come off, if they don't wear their rubberbands their teeth won't move, and if they don't wear their retainer their teeth will shift! The bad reviews are probably from people who think that they know better than someone who a) went to school for this and b) has been in practice many, many years. PS I had braces as a teenager and didn't wear my retainer. My teeth shifted back in no time. The kids' step-mom had braces twice when she was younger but needed more than just braces to correct her "gummy" smile. My son was told from an early age that he would need mandibular advancement surgery just like is father. Dr. Yurfest corrected this problem with a MARA appliance. The results were amazing and didn't require surgery!

I searched for months for an orthodontist for my 12 year old twins. After four consultations, Dr Yurfest was reasonably priced and the most conseervative. I was referred by my sister who swore by him. He was the farthest from my home. It was obvious from the start that he and his staff were on their game. We all enjoyed the large open office where there is a relaxed atmosphere. Two years later the braces came off and we took a fabulous professional family portrait with many beautiful smiling faces!

Took my kids to see Dr. Yurfest. Many months and thousands of dollars later, there was almost no change. He recommended an aggressive procedure that required removing the kids premolars. We disagreed. We got a second opinion. They thought it was a terrible idea as well. Even the orthodontists that Dr. Yurfest recommended we get second opinions from disagreed with him. In the end, we switched to another orthodontist. Yurfest might be good with adults, but I would not recommend him for teenagers and younger.

Dr. Yurfest is excellent. I am very happy with my smile! I am a 50 something year old person, and he succesfully treated my crowding/overbite issues with Invisalign. I recommend this orthodontist without reservation.

Overall, I would recommend these people. Yurfest has been in this business a long time and knows his trade. He very personable and I've heard and read that his fees are reasonable as compared to other orthodontists in Atlanta. Good: Staff is courteous and they get you in fairly quickly. They are also flexible with emergency appointments. Bad: Yurfest sees many patients at once. So, he rattles instructions to his staff as he makes his rounds. There have been a few instances where his staff didn't write his orders down, which resulted in one of the Drs having to come back over a few times to check. As a patient, this is unsettling. No one wants their treatment time extended, especially as an adult. This is my only negative feedback. Other than this, these are knowledgeable people, friendly, courteous and they've helped alot of people. So all in all, I'd recommend them.

I had invisalign done at this office. The staff were very helpful, friendly, polite, and Dr. Yurfest is probably one of the best invisalign providers in the state. Despite invisalign's potential inaccuracy, results were very close to what I was promised, and I believe this was because of the expertise and execution on the part of Dr. Yurfest. The best part of this practice is that they truly take your preferences into consideration. In the beginning, I explained what aspects of my treatment were most important to me. Most orthodontists are perfectionists and you will spend months with metal/plastic/whatever on your teeth just so they can fiddle with a minor cosmetic detail. Fine for children, not fine for adults. Dr. Yurfest designed my treatment so that it addressed the issues that concerned me, but made sure that I understood exactly what would happen at the end, in terms of my smile's health AND aesthetic. I was leery of wearing the attachments that go with Invisalign (that no one ever tells you about), and the rubber bands. They will encourage you to go with full treatment (as any medical practitioner should), but let you participate in designing a treatment that addresses your needs as long as you acknowledge the risks and results. The only reason I didn't give them full marks is because some visits were a little rushed when the office was busy - had to make SURE that I got in all questions. There is no privacy either - all patient chairs are in the same room.

Dr. Yurfest and his staff are AMAZING! Very friendly, very helpful, and very knowledgeable. I went in for a consultation at 8:30am and walked out with porcelain braces at 11:15am. Totally unexpected but very welcomed. I was blown away by the kind nature of every staff member I encountered. The office is fabulous and so far I'm thoroughly enjoying my "braces" experience...even at 32! I highly recommend this ortho for all!

I loved everything about this office. Dr. Yurfest is wonderful, fun loving, and a great orthodontist. His staff was exceptionally helpful, namely Kenny, who went above and beyond to the point of answering my questions via email on the weekends when I had what I considered to be emergencies. I cannot think of a better place to go for your orthodontic needs!

Dr. Yurfest and staff are professional, friendly and basically...DA' BOMB! If your teeth are behaving badly and need a good straightening out send them to Dr. Yurfest. They'll love you for it.

I price shopped like crazy when looking for a solution for my teeth. You must do your homework. EVERYONE you go to will tell you why you're not a good candidate for anything except for what they happen to specialize in. I had doctors tell me everything from invisiline to full metal braces with tooth extraction! Dr Yurfest rubbed me the wrong way a little at my first consultation appointment. He's got a big personality and made me feel kind of worse about my teeth then I think I should have. He also made a fuss about not going to the "cheapest guy in town" because your dental healthcare is so important - but the kicker is he WAS the cheapest guy in town (that I found anyway)! At any rate, even though several orthos told me I was not a good candidate for invisiline or would need a hybrid treatment (with standard, metal braces for part of the time), Dr Yurfest has put me in invisiline with amazing success! He really knows the technique and can get the results other doctor's can't. He is supper friendly, a bit cheesy perhaps, but I always leave laughing. Visits are succinct. Cheap, fast, good. There is one guy at the front desk who is a little persnickety, but I can live with him given the rest of staff and excellent service!

I got braces at the age of 38 my teeth were a mess and now they are beautiful! I consulted several orthodontists and found Dr. Yurfest through a friend's recommendation. He had the best treatment plan for an adult, several orthodontists presented a plan that would suit a child/teen and to remove several teeth. The service he provided was wonderful. He is very funny and is a character, but he is extremely knowledgable and excellent in his field. He presented the timetable and the progress and it was exactly as he told me it would be. I would highly recommend him.

I have had my braces on for just over 3 months now and am happy with the progress so far. Dr. Yurfest and his staff are very professional and efficient. The Office Manager is a little abrasive but tolerable. I have not had to wait more than 10 minutes when I visit the office for an appointment which is great for busy professionals. The staff does treat multiple patients at a time and you only get about 2 minutes of face time with Dr. Yurfest at follow up visits, however that's not an issue for me. If you need one-on-one service this is not the place for you. As long as the treatment is going as planned and I can see great results I'm happy! Also, the treatment costs are reasonable considering the specialty. I would recommend this office to family and friends. UPDATE (11/3/09): I completed my treatment just over two months ago (23 months total) and my teeth look amazing. I am so pleased with the results. I honestly have no complaints. And by the way, the abrasive Office Manager that I mentioned is no longer on staff. Everyone in the office now is very friendly. I'm sure treatment success greatly depends on how well you follow instructions (especially if you have to wear rubber bands) and in my case I did everything just so. This was a HUGE investment for me and I wanted to ensure the best results possible. Appointments were always quick and my treatment was completed as originally estimated.

I went to get my braces done based on a friend's recomendation and I am disappointed by the whole treatment. My appointments are too far apart. The progress is never discussed and is slow. He treats 10 people at a time/MASS PRoduction:-)and don't expect a one to one session except when you first sign. But I would be fair to say the positive things about him/Friendly,Sweet,Funny. I will give a follow up update as my treatment continues.
