Dr. Hege is just wonderful. He has taken an addiction that was unmanageable and out of control for years, and help make it so much easier to manage. There is no doubt in my mind that without Dr. Hege, I would not have the happiness, joy, and satisfaction in life that I do today,

I have ADHD and I have been going to psychiatrists for over 20 years, so I speak from some experience, and Dr Hege is one of the best doctors I have had the pleasure to work with during that time.

I went to Dr. Hege because I was having difficulty sleeping. I believe that he knows his medications, but he was always trying to throw a new medication at me. I was tired all the time, so he wanted to put me on stimulants -- like adderall -- in addition to depression meds. He wanted to jump to the conclusion that I was depressed. Well, it turns out I have sleep apnea. I spent well over $1000 (he doesn't accept insurance), and I felt he spent very little time trying to get to the bottom of my problem. He is a strange man. A good thing I can say is that his office is open all the time, so it is easy to get an appt. However, his office never runs on time.

I have struggled off and on with OxyContin addiction, if not that, then anything I could find. Dr. Hege started me on a medication that completely removed my cravings for the drugs, as well as treated my depression. I can't say everything is great but since my medications have been managed by Dr. Hege, my good days far outweigh the bad day.

I owe Dr. Hege so much. I have my one year "birthday" coming up and I couldn't have done it without him and his support. He gave me that "push" I needed to get myself into detox. His staff are very professional and kind.

He will give you 2mg time release tabs or bars. He will load you up on pills and then the irony is if you get addicted or withdrawal b/c that wasn't explained he will condemn you an evil addict incapable of acting normal. Fact is those meds cause dependence for anyone. I am an addict I know that now and am not afraid to admit it, but Dr. Hege is sly in his manner to the outside the Charter Rehab Mental Hospital he's a free wheelin drug dealing homie. Inside he condemns you for taking those drugs and having sickness from stopping abruptly. It's a shame. He ruins it for so many. Dr. Winston is a good dr. at that place, in that area. I know my stuff, I know my stuff.

I have been going to him for about 8 months now. He listened at first. Now I am figuring out he avoids any suggestions I might have. I have a very difficult situation where health issues blend in with the mental issues. He thinks we are idiots and he is the only one who knows anything when in fact we should be given credit for knowing our bodies. He also likes to ask you to come back in a week or so. At $95 a pop, who has that? He was in a bad mood the other day when I saw him. He wasn't listening, didn't look at my forms. He always avoids eye contact, actually told me to be quiet because he was concentrating and might screw up. He was cold and distant and this isn't something you need in a psychiatrist. I have already found someone else to go see. It's NOT WORTH the convenience. He is definately medication happy.

I've been a patient of Dr. Hege's for two years. He knows his medications and is very involved with trying to assess how the medications are working, and what the problems are with side effects, and what interventions he can make so that each patient has the best meds with minimal side effects. The office runs on time, and the office staff is lovely.

Any doctor has forms to complete up front. I find Hege is very concerned, interested, knowledgable and listens to suggestions from the patient on what has worked in the past. I found this service to be invaluable to a busy person. I was a hysterical crying mess on my first visit and he certainly never mentioned committing me to Peachford, even though my insurance would pay for it. The guy has to charge a subtantial rate in order to be there day and night and pay his staff. Settle down ya'll!
