Ever think your pet needs a therapist?
Well, there actually IS a therapist for pets! And while it may sound silly at first, it's not. Dr. Pat is an animal behaviorist who can help folks and their pets live together harmoniously. If you are having trouble with a behavior your pet has like anxiety or not using the correct "potty" or not getting along well with someone in your family, please consider consulting with Dr. Pat. He is extraordinarily knowledgeable about pets and their people and will work with you and your pet through behavior modification exercises that are usually fun and rewording for you and your pet. He can also prescribe medications if that is necessary (yes, he's a pet psychiatrist, too!)

My person Sue did not know what to do with my anxiety and frankly I just could not explain it to her--sign language is just so difficult when you have to stand on your hands AND you have no thumbs. Anyway, finally, she got a clue and took me to see Dr. Pat. Although I don't really trust "professionals" at all, he did help her to understand me and they finally found the right combination of medications and supplements to help me as well. My person says he is not a crazy try this new "natural" supplement person just to make a buck. He is very science-based and doesn't recommend a drug or supplement that he has not had a personal (or proximal) positive experience with. All in all, Dr. Pat is good people, and will take good care of your pet and you so that you can have a good, long-lasting relationship.

emergency dog training success
Dr. Melese did a house csll to help with the emergency training of my mother and brother's new Terrier and Poodle mix shelter dog.My brother had been hospitalized for prostate cancer and came in contact with several therapy dogs. They were very helpful to him so when he came home my mother found a similar looking shelter dog to be at home with him. We quickly discovered the difference between cute and a good companion. Dr. Pat came to the rescue and within minutes had "Benji" wanting to be a part of the family. He patiently trained the owners to help this dog not be an anxiety filled wild indian but a possible member of the family.Dr.Pat followed up the several hour training with a report and training aids. His professionalism, friendly demeanor and knowlege was just what we needed.
I highly recommend his talents to people needing hope and help for their wild indians.

Big help for our problem cat
We adopted a middle-aged cat in 2007 from an elderly friend when she could not take him to her assisted living facility. We thought we were cat experts, but he turned out to be so domineering we feared we could not integrate him into our household with three existing cats.

Dr. Melese helped us tap into "Junior's" natural intelligence and food motivation to turn our problem cat into a happy and lovable household member. We learned things from Dr. Melese's coaching that has improved our relationships with our other cats as well.

Great Doctor
I brought my dog (a rescued English Bull Terrier) to Dr. Melese because of severe aggression issues. Seeing Dr. Melese was a last resort to euthanasia. Through medication and training prescribed by Dr. Melese, my dog has made amazing progress. I love my dog and he is alive today because of Dr. Melese.
