Dr. Duke is an exceptional doctor! Much of my healthcare experience has been rushed through to a quick diagnosis. This is not the case with Dr. Duke. He is truly engaged during your visit, focuses on your problem and is so easy to talk to. And HE actually phones with lab results, etc. I could go on, but I'll just say "ditto" to the review published by "pumpkin527". But I will add that I was so happy with Dr. Duke that I switched two of my specialists to his colleagues at Laureate. It's a wonderful practice!

I have been going to Dr. Duke for a couple of years now. He is extremely easy to talk to and he actually takes the time to LISTEN to what you're saying. He never pushes you off on his staff. Dr. Duke has continually gone out of his way to show that he cares. He's not overzealous with things, but rather tends to take a conservative approach to most medical issues while keeping an open mind to possible alternatives. He will be straight forward with you and takes the time to explain everything. Whenever I have to come in for a "sick" appointment, he calls me the next day just to see how I'm doing and to answer any questions that may have popped up since my appointment. I consider this guy to be top notch and have sent friends and even my husband to him. Further, his office is extremely clean with modern equipment and a pleasant waiting room. The only thing that I would consider slightly negative is that sometimes it takes half a day of phone tag with his nurse to see whether the doctor thinks you should come in right away. However, that certainly isn't her fault (or Dr. Duke's fault, for that matter)- they're just busy! The good thing is that Laureate just launched a new website that allows you to book appointments on-line and ask non-emergency type questions (including requests for refills). I think that's a GREAT idea and certainly ahead of the curve.
