Excellent, hands-on care
Dr. Duphare has treated me for the last year for Hepatitis-C, the harder genotype that requires 48 week treatment. He was very concerned and monitored me closely, was always almost immediately available when I had problems or questions. I had very severe side-effects from the chemotherapy, severe anemia, compromised immune system, extreme bronchitis, etc. Dr. Duphare referred me to specialists (hematology, weekly testing of blood, respiratory specialist, etc) scheduled very regular follow-up visits, followed up with my other doctors. He Listens to what you say and what you need, and he truly sympathizes with how difficult, even almost unbearable, the treatment can be. I think under another Dr. I would have had to either discontinue treatment before it was effective, or I could have actually died in treatment. I have a lifetime of experience with doctors due to a number of birth defects, and he is one of the ones I have come to trust, and like, the best.
