I love vinyl records and Earwax is great for that. I used to visit their store near Eleven Hundred Peachtree in Midtown, then their store near Crawford Long. My favorite thing about Earwax was their wall of vinyl in the back, one side of which featured nothing but James Brown LPs. Now we're talkin'! The other walls had obscure and arcane soul and jazz titles, all on vinyl. So here's the bummer: in Spring 2008, they closed that store and now only exist online (www.earwaxrecords.com). Online is cool, but a physical store is better. I hope they consider going physical again in the future. In the meantime, they are worth a look online for their vast vinyl resources.
