I've had two surgeries by Dr. Light in the past 5 months. I can confidently say that Dr. Light is the one to see when you need foot surgery. I heard that post- foot surgery can be really painful. Not with Dr. Light. Pain was rather minimal and I only needed to take pain killers for the first 8 hours or so. And I'm the wimpy kind. Dr. Light explained to me in great detail what to expect after surgery and there were no surprises. He was professional, caring and thorough; I couldn't have felt more comfortable with both procedures. Almost wishing I had more feet! It was easy to get appointments and the staff was welcoming and accommodating. Denise even let me hold onto her shoulder when I was getting the stitches out. Everything went well and that adds to one more happy patient.

He was fantastic. He was able to fit my husband in at the last minute (he had a foot injury). We called at 1:30 and explained the situation and they had an appointment for us by 2:30. My only reservation was that he did an xray (very cautious on his behalf) but I wish we had requested he bypass that. But even then, who can really complain about him being thorough? He was fantastic, put my nervous husband at ease, and treated his foot that same visit! Will definately return.

I am a physician and have sent many many patients to Dr. Light. He has done a great job and I highly recommend him to anyone with foot problems. I wouldn't send my patients anywhere else.

I have been training for a marathon for the past few months. With only 3 weeks to go before the race, my big toe nail began to swell up with blood underneath making my runs really painful. I called to make an appt on Friday at noon and they were able to get me right in at 3 p.m. He did minor toe surgery to relieve some of the pressure and allow the fluid to release. I had a 21 mile workout scheduled the following morning and was really worried about how it would heal. Later on that evening, my toe was as good as new and I had an AWESOME workout the following day. I would highly recommend Dr. Light and his staff anyday :-)

Dr. Light and his staff are caring and professional. The wait times in his reception area are short and Dr. Light takes as much time as needed when he is working with my husband. He has greatly helped my husband with his diabetic related foot problems. With other offices, the earliest available appointment would be two or more weeks; Dr. Light's office sees my husband within a day of calling for an appointment. We appreciate his attention to detail and that he listens carefully to my husband's concerns. My husband and I highly recommend the services of Dr. Light.

I hate for anyone to touch my feet--but my feet hurt--couldn't walk. Dr. Light was direct, informative, gentle and understanding. I walked out of his office feeling 1000% better than when I walked in (shuffled in--walked out). I feel great knowing that I have a podiatrist that can make me feel at ease and someone I can have confidence in.

The office staff is nice but I found the experience unprofessional. The Dr was short with me and was pushing surgery. I felt that they were trying to charge as much to my ins company (took x-rays, gave me inserts) instead of prudently handling my problem. Please reconsider seeing this Dr. there are other podiatrists in the area that I think will serve you better.

Each and every patient that comes to our practice at East Cobb Foot & Ankle Care is treated professionally and with respect. I take pride in explaining not only what is causing the problem but ALL of the treatment options. Surgery is sometimes the best way to "fix" a problem, but is never the only treatment offered. The fact that insoles were dispensed indicates that a non surgical option was presented and suggested.
X-rays are a common diagnostic tool for many problems involving the foot and ankle. No services or treatments are provided or billed for that is not agreed upon by the patient at the time of treatment.

I saw Dr. Light after experiencing pain in my heel. I was taken care of in a timely and efficient manner. Dr. Light diognosed my injury and gave me instructions and meds that helped me. My heel is no longer a problem.

My feet are important to me...I use them to run after kids, the dog, groceries, you name it...so when I started suffering foot pain, it scared me. I did some research and sought out expert advice. Dr. Mark Light certainly fits the bill. Dr. Light is straightforward, yet friendly. He served up my diagnosis and all my alternatives succinctly. I felt like I was a partner in my treatment. His office staff is very caring and fun. My wait times were totally doable. I appreciate Dr. Light's credentials as well as his willing to listen attitude. My feet are planted firmly in his hands.

My husband is a diabetic and also has endured terrible pain in his foot for many years. After an excruciating visit to a podiatrist last year, he was very apprehensive about another appointment with yet another doctor. But after fighting the morning rush hour traffic on our drive from Carrollton, he was immediately put at ease by Dr. Light and his wonderful staff. Dr. Light is very thorough, yet gentle with his approach. My husband received some much needed relief after one visit and looks forward to continuing treatment with Dr. Light. Definitely worth the drive....

Being 46 years old and feeling like 96 wasn't cool. Everyday my feet have been killing me as far back as I can remember. My wife begged me to go see a podiatrist for years. Finally, I got to were I could hardly walk on my feet at all. I asked her to find me a good foot doctor, I was now ready for anyone to help me. After lots of research she found Dr. Mark Light. An appointment was made, and my life was saved!!! My feet have been screaming with pain since I was about 17 years old. Upon meeting with Dr. Light I realized how foolish I had been to have waited so long and to have had to go through so much pain unnecessarily. He explained to me that "Yes" he could help me, but it would not be over night. You did not get this way over night, and with treatment, correct shoe support inserts, icing my feet, doing some exercises at home with my feet, etc. I would heal and get better. I have been seeing Dr. Light now for several months and I can already tell a huge amount of relief. I could kick myself in the rear for not going sooner. If I could leave anyone that message, "To go get help, now not later" I would yell it from the roof tops. His office has helped to schedule me appointments to co-inside with my busy work day in order for me to come in for treatments. If you have any foot pain what so ever, pick up the phone and schedule a consultation with Dr. Light--he SAVED Me!!!! My only regret is I didn't do it sooner...
